It is a good idea but their water system is a bit different to ours.

Their roadside drains are really big due to the short heavy rain they get, well it was like that where I went.

Those drains go out like you see in the pictures.

Ours mainly goes down rivers.

The Calder below Padiham this spring was a disgrace, there was plastic every where.
One lady on her own picked up about 20 bags of it. I went down fishing just as she had finished. Bless her.

Also one of our rivers biggest pollution is raw sewage.

About 8 years ago I was convinced to go fish the Mersey on a boat. In 8 hours of fishing I think I caught 40 tampons. Never again.

Did you pan fry them or do them in foil in the oven with a bit of lemon juice?

Well I caught 3 cod, which I could not bring myself to kill and eat, with the thought of them swimming in all that sh1t and stuff.

So, did you then throw them back into "all that sh1t and stuff"? Should have put the poor fookers out of their misery :D

As bad as the Mersey is, small cod move into the tidal stretches to grow on before moving out to sea.

Yes they were put back.
