The 1954 Leicester programme at the top of the preview is intriguing me. Clearly it was a Monday game which seemed strange, but on checking three of our four midweek games that early season were also Monday games. Then the following season 1955/56 all our early midweek games, both home and away, were played on a Monday.

Why would clubs choose to play Saturday/Monday with then a five day gap until the next Saturday game?......It looks like it wasn't until the Championship season that we started playing regularly on a Tuesday evening.

Quite a quirk how these fixtures with Leicester have fallen. If I'm not mistaken, we were there for the first game after the tragic helicopter incident, and we are there for the game prior to the anniversary of it.

This game at Filbert Street was was a good season for Leicester
They had been promoted and a crowd of 30,000 turned up thinking a win would be a formality
We were deep in the relegation battle
The game ended with no goals and gave us a share of the spoils
But it didn't stop us from the inevitable we simply need a Houdini

I'd be disappointed to see Taylor returned to the bench. Not a knock on Pieters who's been very solid.

Perhaps he will mix it up depending on the opponents but I'm not sure that is very Dyche

I'm hoping Taylor will be back in as well. Tough one for Dyche I suppose, would have almost been easier if Pieters wasn't fit for today.

I just noticed this tribute is planned for the helicopter crash victims.

It does put sport into perspective on days like these.
