Wow.

Clear error? No

Obvious error? No

The VAR disallowed the goal, not Moss, but he could have gone to the screen considering that at that stage of the game the decision was likely to define the result. But he couldn’t be bothered.

The guys an embarrassment if anything the “trip” was accidental.

When are the premier league going to get premier level referees taking every game. I wouldn’t want him reffing a kids game.

VAR is just a load more tossers making wrong decisions in a room somewhere else :x

Evans ran across Wood, Evans might not have got to the ball, there didn’t seem to be a camera angle that proved beyond doubt that Wood’s foot touched him or not. If the ref disallows it then that’s tough luck, but to overturn his decision to award the goal based on the video evidence is criminal.

I hope Dyche rips into Moss on his interview and gets fined, the guy is a total joke

If it’s Madley in the VAR Box what do you expect, absolute goon show!

Why doesn’t the ref go and look at the screen in such a result-defining decision?

Wait till you see the angle from behind the players. You see the slightest touch from Wood on Evans heel. Irrelevant anyway as the ball had already bounced off Evans and he wasn’t getting to it to clear.

The only amazing thing was that this clown gave the goal to begin with given he does everything in his power to give them everything....

A. 15
B. 10
C. 10 Repeatedly got into the way of players
D. 13 Made damned sure we were controlled. Couldn't wait to get his card out to Jeff in the 2nd minute yet let a similar foul by one of them go unpunished.

Buffoon springs to mind!

Madley VAR 5

Although Madey has previous with us, he saw an imaginary incident that day too. ( at Derby )

Booking hendrick in first minute said it all. Think we had 4 bookings. Leicester none I think. Barely a tackle in the whole game

It wasn’t even moss’s fault cos he gave the goal.

I’m absolutely bouncing that. Today makes me hate football.

I thought he was saying he was 50 yards away from the VAR screen and sarcastically suggesting that was too far for him to bother checking

Moss was poor today - he always is - but he did give the goal and then probably thought “I’ll let VAR decide because usually I am actually wrong”

In fairness to Moss he’s been told by Madley to disallow the goal after the mandatory goal check.

How the hell did we have three players booked? There wasn’t a foul in the match! Never able to keep up with play. Clueless and inept. Time to retire, Jon. Won’t be a moment too soon.

But he also told both managers before the game that he would come and review the VAR decisions himself.
To say you are going to do this and then for the most defining decision of the game to go back on what you said says everything that has to be said about Moss and the game. It’s all 100% self protection from the referees.

Could have been. I was too angry when listening....either way if he had checked the screen you can bet he would still have chalked it off....

As others have suggested the person responsible is the one reviewing the screen. Anyone who understands the game cannot chalk that goal off when watching every angle on a screen....

Only seen it on my phone but I’m mystified how Madley has come to that decision.

It's called being the centre of attention, otherwise known as "power trip".

If you've ever seen Madley referee a game for us then you wouldn't be.
Edit: Sorry Tony. I didn't spot who had posted before replying.
You've obviously witnessed some of the inexplicable decisions he's made against us in the past, so you shouldn't be all that surprised.

I remember the penalty against Jason Shackell at Derby back in 2013 for one. He’s an awful referee but how can he get it so wrong when he’s got all those angles and time to get it right.

VAR is legalised cheating, administered by the inept and supporting the refereeing deficiencies.

By that, I mean that referees cannot see everything. What's wrong with a penalty overturn, when the ref is asked to look again? That doesn't make him weak, it gives him a chance to get it right.

5 he made the decisions the crowd asked for
1 Totally inconsistent in how he used var after each goal
2 frequently made decisions from 30 yards away
3 very little to control but made a mess of his bookings and a shambles of the var process
