Re: Brady
He's the sort of player who needs game time to get up to speed.
He did tire quickly today.

Nobody comes out of that game with credit but Brady just couldn't get anything right.

Really? It wasn’t a bad performance. Off the top of my head I’d say McNeill, Wood and Tarkowski come out of the game with credit.Claretmatt4 wrote:Nobody comes out of that game with credit but Brady just couldn't get anything right.

Re: Brady
He did his best and was ok for half an hour, but then clearly tired and became a liability. Maybe he would have
been better getting his time at the end of the game rather than the start.
But hey, Dyche knows best.

Re: Brady
Agree. Second half was poor but a number of our lads did well today. Wood was winning a lot of balls he shouldn't have been and played well. Lowton did well today. Tarks was solid. Mcneil decent etc.Rileybobs wrote:Really? It wasn’t a bad performance. Off the top of my head I’d say McNeill, Wood and Tarkowski come out of the game with credit.

Re: Brady
Perhaps being a bit harsh, but it was littered with mistakes. Agree on the above as three that performed okay and looked to make things happen. Wood was very good.Rileybobs wrote:Really? Re: Brady
It's very harsh, but he rarely beats a man, struggles to carry the ball, nd struggles with crossing on the move.
Think it's just a case of not being good enough at this level.
Similar to a Matt Richie type ( probably not as good ) but looks ok in a team regularly winning in the championship, but looks out of depth if playing regular in the premier league

He just gives the ball away all the time. Always looks to do something flash instead of playing the simple pass.

Yes great idea, especially as we've got such a big squad, no injuries and loads of options / cover in the positions he can play ?????Giftonsnoidea wrote:A loan at championship level seems a good idea to me keyboard warrior

He's barely played for a couple of years.
A run of games will be good for him, but he's only really had a really good three months with us.

How very dare he have a serious injury that requires a long period of recovery and recuperationSteve1956 wrote:He's had some nice tattoo's done while he's been sat around doing f**kall

I love it when people say this. It’s like they want some scientific analysis or they are in court. It’s so easy to say isn’t it? You sound like a school teacher or lecturer putting down an essay because it doesn’t contain enough quotes.Burnleyareback2 wrote:Evidence?
For what it’s worth Wood scored (2 but for a ridiculous decision). McNeil put in a pinpoint cross for Wood and was generally pretty damn decent and Tarks was solid. Wood scored as many goals as Vardy and had a perfectly good goal ruled out. Is that enough ‘evidence’ for you.

Re: Brady
With every season and injury he's pushed more into the periphery which is a shame.
He was always our poor mans Snodgrass, a winger with set piece ability, we lost out on Snodgrass and plumed for him. Though looking at West Ham both are doing about the same right now (F all) except we paid far less money, the prudent Burnley way paying off again and I'm not even being sarcastic.
The Catch 22, needs game time to get up to speed, we can't afford passengers in the team to get up to speed.

Re: Brady
showed for the ball, still rusty obviously. He was the best player on the pitch at Leicester when he got injured, be nice if we could encourage him rather than berate him. Yet to see a player play at the top of his game when he get's **** from his own fans every time he gives the ball away
Re: Brady
The one player at Burnley who will try be creative which more often than not won't come off as it won't for many players in this league if he had the attributes people on here are expecting off him than he would be playing for a top 6 side

Re: Brady
He has not been starting for a while so we should cut him a bit of slack. However one thing I didn't like yesterday was the way he pulled rank on McNeil for the free kick in a dangerous position in the first half and then fired the ball into the wall.

I was asking RR for the evidence, he kindly sent me about 30 messages after the Everton game when I said his beloved Wood had 3 chances.houseboy wrote:I love it when people say this. I’m not really that arsed about evidence.

But the thread is about Brady and your immediate response is to criticise Jeff Hhendrick. Doesn't that show you have an agenda ?Longside4evr wrote:Because he had a bad game today every other hes done well but his performance was not up to his standard hes been at.

Re: Brady
But with Hendrick it appears that some people (not saying you necessarily) can’t wait to have a go. Barnes can (and does sometimes) play sh!te or cheat but rarely gets stick because he is Barnes. I didn’t go today but listened to it on radio and I swear Hendrick’s name came up more than any other (mostly in a good way).Longside4evr wrote:Because he had a bad game today every other hes done well but his performance was not up to his standard hes been at.

Brady is just breaking back into the side but posters are quick to criticise after just an hour and a few camo minutes this season but when ive mention a player jumped on
its just my opinion and i've been to all games a part from Wolves away just thought it was his worst game this season but next he will probably play out of his skin and score a screamer, it doesn't mean i was wrong in my assumption
i was posting about another player on this post not that we want 4 or five names who just dropped off a bit second half scattered on the board
Re: Brady
Match time definitely needed.
However, the big thing for me is his insistence on taking the set pieces.
He is not as accurate as either McNeil or Westwood and should step down. The manager should sort it.

Re: Brady
He faded badly in the second half but he looked fine in the first.
Not back to his best but not bad all the same and we don't expect him to be back to his best immediately after such a long lay off.
He made a few bad decisions when his legs went. TIredness affects decision making just as it affects physicaly performance.

Re: Brady
I don't like to see McNeil play on the right, where he is merely goodish (and of course he is cross made the goal yesterday) whereas on the left he is outstanding. Brady on the left and was not as impressive as McNeil. Things should be sorted out when Cork returns. Then we can play Hendrick or Gudmundsson on the right and McNeil on the left once again.
Brady might get a run in the side if McNeil is injured or rested - and hopefully he can again become the excellent player we know he can be.

Unpopular opinion.....but I think that Brady is better than JBG. And with a run of games he will regain his sharpness. I would like to see him given a run on the right hand side but I'm not sure he'll get one.

Re: Brady
Not sure about him stepping down he has it in his locker and its all about confidence
maybe let the regulars take set pieces for now till he gets his Mojo back
Their is a terrific player in their somewhere he just needs a run of games and if it means bed him in from the bench so be it Drinkwater as let us down badly not Brady

Re: Brady
Brady needs time and may well get it with JBG crocked. Really need McNeil on the left though . Can’t fault Pieters but I feel Charlie T works far better with DM. That said midfield our main problem we really need Drinkwater fit as we look overrun with Cork injured .
