Great football story

Colby Bishop has scored 7 goals for Accy Stanley this season after they took a chance on him from Non league.
Great to see.

Fantastic story. Not heard much of him but not really too much of a surprise in these times. A lot of non league clubs trying to get into the top 4 divisions are backed by wealthy people who are willing to pay bigger wages than many clubs higher up the footballing pyramid. There are plenty of diamonds in the lower leagues

Always remember I think Dagenham or someone like that paying bigger wages than us when we were in the then 2nd division (3rd tier) and tempting professionals from our league to drop into none league to play for them

Rushden and diamonds too.

Think some Essex club had O'Hara, Pennant , the old Leicester left back and a few other old pros playing for them one season.

Clone Dynamos we’re paying way in excess of us in the dark days as mentioned in a previous thread. There are a lot of clubs in the pyramid, there are always a few paying over the going rate and aiming to be the next big thing.

Good return for the lad and Accy though. Hope they start moving up the division on the back of it.

Macauley Bonne at Charlton has scored 3 in 3 after spending the last 4 years in the National League with Lincoln, Woking & Leyton Orient.

Great to see.
Hasn't steptoe followed a similar route?

Yes there have been others, this is just recent.

I feared for Accy when I saw where they were shopping and with having their goalscorer out with mental health problems.
