Pope 6 (no blame for the goals, but kicking not great again)
Lowton 5 (blundered!)
Tarks 6 (also blundered, but otherwise ok)
Mee 7
Pieters 5
Westwood 5
Cork 5
Hendrick 6
McNeil 7
Rodriguez 6 (great goal, but very little else)
Barnes 5 (missed a great chance when it mattered and did nothing else)

Frustratingly I don't think this current Chelsea bunch are anywhere near as strong as those of the past few years and I really hoped we'd be up and at them and at our best and get something. But yet again we saved an all round poor showing and some VERY uncharacteristic personal blunders for a game against the so called big boys and got battered as a result. Maybe we make similar mistakes against other teams, but don't necessarily notice because they don't get punished the same, I'm not sure, but you can't give even a below par Chelsea side a 2 goal start and hope to catch up. The problem with diving in now and dropping say Lowton for a mistake and having a poor day, is that tbf you'd have to drop more than half the team, including Tarkowski so SD will probably leave it alone, even though next week becomes an absolutely massive game now. I'll also admit that I'm not Wood's biggest fan, but we were absolutely toothless without him up front and Jayrod and Barnes don't look a pairing imo.

The main point being, possibly through no fault of his own, Jack appeared to be blowing out of his @rse around the hour mark and I thought he was average (so a 5 ) up to that point.
Average is 6, not 5, so basically you are then knocking him down to 3 for what happened after the game was lost.

Lessons to be learned from yesterdays game.

Taylor surely has to replace Pieters
Wood was sorely missed. JRod has no clue how to defend from the front.
Hopefully Hendrick wont play wide right again ( except in emergency). He is fine in CM
Stick to doing what we are good at. It works
Oliver is easily conned by diving

Jay Rodriguez is NOT a right sided player. If he has to play off one side, it's the left so he can cut in. That's the side he played on for us in his first spell and also the side he played so successfully for Southampton. On the right hand side he neither use nor ornament.

Pretty much agree, EXCEPT to say that we maybe haven't stuck to doing what we're best at because we've been disrupted by injuries and Hendrick DOES make a more than decent CM, but maybe not against the top teams. (Just my opinion)
