Hi CT

I can't normally follow the U23s and don't know the players other than by their names. Are they wearing 1-11 in that order?

They seem to get a bit upset on the chat, them Yorkshire puddings.

If someone was feeling that way out they could have a field day.

There's no replays it seems, but that goal looked a poor one unfortunately. Since then we've done well and really should be level.

Looked poor from Jensen on the goal. Reminded me of a former Burnley goalkeeper.

Much prefer old fashioned score updates from CT rather than cryptic comments. Assume we are 1 down

Think that's Joel Mumbongo?

He looks strong and powerful but could do with lifting his head up from time to time. :)

edit - no, I think Mumbongo is 14, Bayode is 17. He did the Kindon style "push and run" technique to take on the defender. Not seen that in a while!

14 looks to have a bit about him too.

I thought Leeds just shaded the first half but we were the better side for most of the second

It was a very decent watch and we looked pretty good. A draw was probably fair, but we did hit the woodwork (twice?) conceded a very poor one, didn't quite capitalise on some excellent positions and missed some good chances.

Yes, thanks for the link. I watched most of it and feel exhausted - it was pretty kamikaze at times. A lot more ball carrying and turnover in dangerous areas than I've become accustomed to. We did tire at the end allowing Leeds to come on strong but a draw felt about right. I liked the look of Cooney and Benson showed flashes.

I’d agree with that. Just one or two anxious moments in the last few minutes.

Some bloke called Bielsa was sat just to my right.

I have to admit I was disappointed to see him actually sat in his seat. He was alongside three members of his coaching staff.

We were sat in the lower tier in the main stand. We weren’t too far from their dug out. It Bielsa was sat in the stand just to our right.

Maybe there is nothing to report on Stone. He could have a personal matter he’s dealing with. I’m not presuming because I don’t know anything.

Peacock-Farrell is part of the first team squad. They have a game tomorrow(I have no details) so perhaps he will play in that game. He has played in one U23 game and will be play in others should Dyche think it appropriate.

They bought that player on we were linked with in the summer. He was awful lol

Clearly suffering from the "I'm too good for the reserves" attitude.

it was quite an enjoyable match to watch.

A few players stood out for me.

Our number 8 - not sure of the name but he was a big physical midfielder. His powerful running with the ball and passing was quite promising.

Richardson - was really impressed given his age. Very tricky and his balance was impressive.

Koiki - I thought he was one of our biggest threats. Real pace and power with the ball.

Wouldn’t mind seeing any of them three near the first team - perhaps a cup game

Number 8 was Christian N’Guessan

Richardson seems to win plenty of penalties.

Does he have plenty of pace or trickery? Or a bit of both?

Is it just a trick of the light or are the numbers on the Leeds shirts really that hard to make out? They look light grey on white.

He was out injured for a while last season with an ankle injury. Another of the midfielders is Mace Goodridge. He suffered a cruciate last October and is just coming back. Came on as a sub last night.

N'Guessan cost us a league title in 2016/17. We finished second in the Youth Alliance League with Blackpool winning the league having beaten us with a stoppage time goal. N'Guessan scored that goal and we signed him at the end of that season.

He's just a very clever player and so good with the ball at his feet. I think the biggest compliment I can pay him is that when you are watching him you become totally unaware that he's a 16 year old playing in an under-23 team. He's got some pace, but his game is not based on that.
