Predictions vs Blades

Post by tiger76 » Thu Oct 31, 2019 11:21 pm

I'm confident we'll bounce back from our last 2 losses, and return from South Yorkshire with all 3 points.

2-1 to the mighty Clarets,Barnes and Tarks to bag.

They're going well, but we do alright against the 'weaker' teams now, it's the top 6 that we struggle with...1-0 Clarets

12-55 with hat-tricks from
Futcher
Eyres
Eli
Francis
Gayle
and 40 from Joe Neenan who plays as an emergency striker after Futcher pulls his thigh notching from the spot (again)

I know they're tough but I think we'll rebound after the last two and put a marker down.

3-0 or 4-0 away win. Barnes 2 McNeill 2.

A rude awakening for the game yet naive blades .
It won’t be pretty but a Tarky masterclass and another JayRod goal looks in the offing . They will fancy themselves very much against us .... schoolboy error

Sheffield O Burnley 2

I've done 2-0 & 0-2

Would be happy if I lost both though and it finished 1-1

Depends which Burnley turn up, and if Sheff Utd can raise their game and perform, for one their players/fans may expect to win.

We can't be complacent and believe we're going to turn up and win. This will be a very tough game against a team who press just as much as us but who have that edge on pace.

It'll come down to the defence of both with us having the experience.

First goal crucial.

If we get our noses in front then I fancy us to win. If they get the first goal then I think we have enough to grind out a draw.

Expecting both teams to score so going for a hopeful 1-2 with Jay getting the 2nd after a Barnes opener before we concede late on for a nervy finish.

As above - the first goal is crucial - if they get ahead they'll pack the midfield and defence and if they fall behind then they'll have 3 up front.
We may cancel each other out so am going 1-1

dont think we're on good enough form yet, regretfully 2-0 to the blades and their rude manager.

If we don't win this one, who will we win away at?

Villa and Brighton, two of the easier fixtures have gone.

We have only lost 3 Arsenal Liverpool Chelsea most teams lose to them i would say form is good in our own pool
And Leicester but that was a farce but all them will be in the top six

I suspect this will be a scrappy game similar to Cardiff away last season where we will have the PL experience to beat the newbies by the odd goal.

Very confident predictions here which is worrying!

I think we'll win but rarely have I seen so much positivity in a PL away game, its terrifying. Surely its us not them who are targeting the game as a fairly routine win!

I think the confidence comes from the fact that we usually do very well against these sort of teams in the Prem.

It's not always improvements on the pitch that are the greatest for fans.

I seem to recall a majority being more than happy with a 17th position finidh, good profits and frozen season tickets.

We are well on course for that should we manage to navigate January without too much outlay.

I think 6-7 points from the next 4 games and we can start planning again for next season.

Sean Dyche is far too good to go down from that position.

Depends on who scores 1st. If they score 1st we will struggle breaking them down, due to them being so well organised and vis versa.

Going for a goalless draw 0-0

The home support will want them to come out 'all guns blazing' against opposition they will see as beatable. Against Liverpool and Arsenal they were happy to see them sit back and ' soak it up' (as would we against quality opposition).A positive approach from them will,I hope, will be their undoing.Arsenal sliced them open, more than once, with fast intricate moves but after the break they just kept sticking high balls into the box (forgotten they had sold Giroud) and it became a doddle for the defenders. So with Wood in I would have gone for a win but without him I would not be unhappy with 2-2.

Last time we briefly attained 4th position (2017) we didn't win any of the following 5 matches. So I'm predicting a 2-1 defeat  :?
