Knives and Forks utd versus MIGHTY CLARETS

Post by IanMcL » Sat Nov 02, 2019 11:39 am

Let's not make a meal of it today!

I am on my way and at Northampton, so a long way to go.

Thought I had better get Madge going, so you will all be fully pumped up to support the lads.

Let's do it!

Come on you Clarets.

A guy I was chatting with the other day summed up Johnson

He said he would share a pint with Johnson but would not share his wallet with him

I am Woodhall services, Sheffield now. Charging for trip home. Weather atrocious! Windy and lashing down.

Waterproof football shirts and wellies for the team.

Maybe Hendrick will suddenly be better on the wing than central, after trying the same tactic 85 times without success.

Taylor behind Pieters is this season's Hart ahead of Heaton, Dyche is so bloody stubborn

Not quite, when you look at Pieter's assists. I'd have Taylor starting, but it's nothing as bad as Hart playing. When Hart played, we knew straight away that we needed 2-3 goals to get a point.

Taylor did nothing wrong except get injured and he loses his place to an inferior player

Would of liked to see Jeff back central more dynamic than cork, and give Brady a start, and put a young lad on bench rather than all the defenders, but what do I know ;)

On the plus side we created chances against Chelsea with the same starting 11.

Yes, against Chelsea who have some of the best footballers I’ve seen on the Turf this season. They were clinical. Sheff Utd are good, but not 4 goals against us good. Make no mistake it won’t be an easy game today, but it won’t be like Chelsea last week.

I feel for Taylor, the guy ahead of him has had consecutive poor games, Taylor ended up being one of our best players last season and still he can't get a start. Dyche is very frustrating at times. Keeping Lowton in is a mistake too IMO.

Taylor offers so much additional support to McNeil and they work well together if given the chance

Pieters rarely get over the halfway line

Haven't Sheffield Utd got something like the second best defensive record so far this season?

0 - 1 to the Clarets

But Pieters isn't inferior. He has different strengths and weaknesses but he is a decent Premier League defender. Charlie Taylor is also a decent Premier League defender who will get the shirt when Pieters no longer deserves it or gets injured. It works like that for the 2 full backs though the rest of the team have a definite and clear pecking order.

They have been giving penalties for less contact all week, we get a shout and VAR not even called into play?
