Only cost £10m so within our budget, but any striker would struggle with the lack of service from Burnley's CM,he's impressed but we've given him acres of space, you do that in this league any team will punish you, compounded by mistakes again it has to be said,we can't afford to gift the opposition goals at this level,it's hard enough to gain points as it is.

If we were going to turn it around, that Barnes chance was the catalyst. Not going to be a good weekend for us clarets.

NickBFC wrote:The writing has been on the wall. After a reasonably promising start to the season, including some brighter football, we've slowly been sinking to the first half of last season's levels. The two full backs aren't good enough, we're not strong enough in CM (still), and without Wood we lose our goal threat. Major changes needed and some spending required in January if we're to avoid a very long and hard season. Would be nice to see us string three passes together once in a while too.

We've done nothi g to improve midfield for 4 seasons. This is the result.

McNeil hooked. Can’t even argue, he’s been rubbish. And when he doesn’t perform, the entire attack doesn’t perform.

Dyche said he narrowly failed a fitness test, so I'm not sure how he missed the bench at least, a week later. Surely a week is enough to get fit enough to pass it the next time.

If he’s not fit then we need to change the formation/tactics.

Playing 442/direct without him just doesn’t work

All well and good, but he is guaranteed to start. Literally no option other than *perhaps* Robbie Brady but if we’re honest, not really.
