Joe Hart
Said it last week. Time to get him back in. And said in summer. Shouldnt have let Heaton, our most important player last season and captain leave.

Re: Joe Hart
Year on year and signings that don’t improve what we have. Taylor was arguably our best player last year now he’s on the bench, why? It was obvious we needed a right back, but we didn’t buy one, why? The football isn’t becoming any better either, we’re so dull to watch.

Re: Joe Hart
Losing Heaton, not even considering talent was a ludicrous decision.
Zero leadership at that back and less ability.
At least we got 8m in the bank mind.

Re: Joe Hart
I'm not convinced Joe Hart is the answer but certainly agree with Heaton.
It wouldn't be so bad if we had a proper Captain to take over from him.
He'd be bollocking our back 4 if we went 1 down, let alone 3.

Cant believe we let him go. The shirt was his.
Re: Joe Hart
Makes it even more ludicrous when you consider the team we sold him to, up there with replacing Vokes with Crouch when deep in trouble. At that moment, I felt we waved the white flag and showed our intention, same situation as when Laws was hired.cricketfieldclarets wrote:Losing Heaton, not even considering talent was a ludicrous decision.

What position did we finish two seasons ago when Pope played 35/38 games?
How can it be down to Heaton not playing when we finished bloody 7th.

Maybe if Joe Hart was pushing Pope harder for the #1 spot then Pope would be playing better and wouldn't have conceded so many goals? See, it's still really Hart's fault when you think about it.

Could have been quality. Could have been luck. But plenty have had one good season.
He since had a very bad injury and a season out.
Hes unproven.
Even Michu and Amir Zaki had one good premier league season.

I bet they don't even bother to look at the team sheet.
Losing Tom Heaton was more than just losing a goalkeeper.
Nick Pope could take a season to re-establish his form of two years ago.

Some of you lot are so fickle.
It was only recently that people on here were saying it was a disgrace that Pope wasn't first choice for England, and now he needs replacing?

But Nick Pope has never had a full season at any level. So is far from this proven, experienced keeper everyone thought was replacing Heaton.

Pope did replace Heaton, two seasons ago, after the latter's shoulder injury, and we finished seventh.

I think we need to look at the possibility of Peacock-Farrell replacing Hart on the bench.
It’s clear his lovely smile, and it is a lovely smile, is putting our keeper and defenders off.

Hope Pope’s confidence isnt shot by last 2 games.
Noticeable he didnt come over to fans at the end and went straight down the tunnel

Our defence was dreadful and left Pope totally exposed. We need to look at replacing both full backs before our goal keeper.
Not to forget Barnes up front who missed two sitters and Rodriguez who contributed nothing

Well that’s all well and good but none of our reserve full backs or reserve strikers have played for England so it doesn’t matter.Top Claret wrote:Our defence was dreadful and left Pope totally exposed. We need to look at replacing both full backs before our goal keeper.

There’s only two things that turn on the OP. England caps and pretending he’s seen someone’s car.
