It'll come down to how well we do against the teams around us

Post by Spijed » Sat Nov 02, 2019 5:34 pm

Last season, 21 out of the 40 points were against the five teams below us.

That'll be the deciding factor this time around as well.

A nice chart Spijed, sums it up well and we are doing well against lower table sides so far.

It's an interesting chart. However it means we have more of those teams to play away.

It’s a sad day when we stop seeing Sheffield United as relegation rivals during their first season in the top division. That’s very worrying in itself

It’s the start of November. Sure we were in top half under Coyle at this point.

My point exactly. November and we have already given up on teams like Sheffield United

Too early. in previous seasons, Watford have started off fairly well and then dropped like a stone.

Looks alright does that. However, Sheffield United were “around us” until full time this afternoon.

Correct.

A pretty pointless chart to be putting up on that basis.

The chart is factual, so can’t be pointless. The OPs opinion is spot on, we need to beat the teams around.

You are right, Spijed, and this is about as good as we can hope for, beat the teams that are as crap as us and continue aiming for 17th.
Boring isn't it.

Aye, and Spurs are going to finish in 13th.

Spot on with the chart and as said beat the ones around us and don't worry about the top 6, which includes Sheff Utd.

I don’t think you’ve read the OP. You’ve just looked at the chart. He hasn’t mentioned anywhere about where we will finish.
The only relevance of the chart is we are unbeaten by anybody outside the top 6 but that is a minor point that probably won’t continue.
