The Liverpool game at home last season with Bardsley in the side

Post by Spijed » Sun Nov 03, 2019 1:12 pm

We came into the game having taken just two points from the previous seven matches, yet it was noticeable how fired up he was, and how much it energised the rest of the team.

Even though we lost, it was a far better performance than the abject display in the previous match, 2-0 away to Crystal Palace.

I'm hoping Bardsley and Taylor both start next week.

Lets hope Lowton gets the chop and Bardsley wins back his rightful place. I thought we should have started the new campaign with Bardsley who was excellent for us last season. I don't know what Dyche was thinking of by bringing back Lowton who has been poor now for the last 18 months

There was a Bardsley tackle in the first half of that game that literally turned our season around.

I'm pretty much certain that Taylor will. I think Lowton will start though we have 2 home games and a winnable away game in the next 3, so I can understand if he sticks with Lowton.

Got a feeling that you may be on your own there Frank.

That tackle was right in front of us in the Bob Lord stand, and I remember it well because, as you say, it set the scene for that game and a good number to follow. It seemed to galvanise the team.

I would imagine so - you aren't supposed to tackle his players.

Theres literally no reason Lowton should be starting right now. And like Ward on the left before him I was always one of his bigger fans.
