CT you and other go along to a lot of the U23 matches (I can only get to them when on leave) are their any more that could be pushing for first team action in areas where we need to strengthen? Ajax are past masters at this but when you look at the likes of Chelsea and Man UTD and even Liverpool to certain extent they are promoting their youngsters very early now, so just wondered where we are at in that part of progression.

Wednesday have both Tom Lees & Jordan Rhodes in their team. And we’ve kicked off late.

Long isn’t injured and Dyche said Drinkwater was having another week’s training before playing any games.

Their number 9 is fortunate to be on the pitch after two elbows. Not even got a yellow despite Wilson being left with blood on his face. Their number 9 is Rhodes.

I suspect Jensen, Cooney, N’Guessan, Phillips & Richardson have been left out because of the cup game on Thursday.

He does. He’s very quick, strong and direct. Dropped into left back now since Tucker came on.

Tony, how far are Koiki and Benson from pushing for the first team squad ?

If we have some hope for Koiki is he not better off going out on loan again and playing some tough, competitive football?

Did well in League Two last season at Swindon so I was surprised we weren’t able to get a club for him. There is a point at which players really have to get out on loan to get some first team football.

A good, competitive game,I thought. Bayode, on the right looked.a.threat all afternoon when he had the ball. Didn't realise Lees was playing as well as Rhodes. Weren't we supposedly interested in him a.few seasons back until we saw what they wanted for him?

Definitely linked with Lees a couple of years ago.

Had a chat with Richard Chaplow's dad at Curzon Aston yesterday. We both lived in the same street in Haslingden when we were much younger. Anyway, Richard is still playing in America and enjoying it. Amazing to think that he's now 35 years old.

I thought he’d retired and was now assistant manager at Orange County who he played for.

Orange County was mentioned and that he was doing some coaching. Just assumed he was still playing.
