Re: 2019/20: Tottenham Hotspur v Burnley - Ticket Information
Can we keep this thread to tickets please?
There is a general info thread for travel, parking, pubs etc. and I’ve moved all the non-ticket posts into there.

Bought two online and were order numbers 956/959 so if that’s anything to go by we’ve sold nearly 1000 in ten minutes!

DOyou think it will go to general sale? Is there the option for the club to get more if they sell the allocation?

Out of interest, how did you find out which “order number” you were? I’ve just bought a spurs ticket and don’t recall seeing it anywhere. Thanks

I'd say it's highly unlikely it will get as far as general sale.Longsider wrote:DOyou think it will go to general sale? Is there the option for the club to get more if they sell the allocation?

It's a great response.
To say there should only be around 3000 fans on 6k points or more.
Nearly 2k of them have opted for a ticket.

That is the biggest flaw with the loyalty points system,I would suggest that at least 50% of those at these most wanted to see games are not the actual loyalty points holder themselves.

That's true, theres 3 none season ticket holders coming with us. 1 only goes on 2 or 3 games a year due to living in Devon, the other is coming for the day out, and the football will get in the way of the day for him..paulatky wrote:Or have family or friend who wants their ticket.

But it's not what you know its who regards tickets.
"Its the best system and doesnt need changing " so if you cant best them join them.
Eithet that, or just go on the crap games no one else is really bothered with, they'll only be 3 or 4 that sell out.

They haven't done anything wrong until entering the stadium and used the ticket, they don't know who they're looking for or who purchased the tickets?
Are the club really bothered? They let you buy adult tickets on kids claret numbers.

Let's hope they act.
Although too late for me and my son to benefit, it may help the next generation, although I doubt the demand will be as high as the first few seasons in the premier league.
What was there response CT, will changes be made?
Or is that a topic for the newly formed fan group ?
Re: 2019/20: Tottenham Hotspur v Burnley - Ticket Information
Nothing wrong or illegal with buying someone a ticket as a gift I'm afraid.Quickenthetempo wrote:How can the club police it?

So even when entering the stadium nothing can be done.
There was another popular game Angus where it happened.

Then theres the supporters clubs...Burnley Ace wrote:Which bit - that people use friends clarets numbers to get extra tickets or that the whole “points” system should be replaced?
The current system is floored and no one can or wants to do anything about it
When I mentioned it many years ago I was told to shut up, and accept it.
So i do.

Say each supporters club gets an allocation up to 50 tickets every game but it is every game is that wrong ? Nobody seems to have an issue that they will have got tickets for Watford this weekend. When ever it is a game close by (previously Huddersfield this season Sheff Utd) or a new ground we see the same comments to change things.
What about the younger fans who have built up their points the last few seasons, should they have there total wiped out and back to 0 again. Maybe the club could introduce away season tickets and those wishing to go every game would automatically get one. We will probably sell out 3 or 4 full allocation away games this season, next season Spurs will be like Arsenal for demand. You could argue if we are to start losing points perhaps Premier League points should be the first to go as it is a lot easier to get fans to turn up in this division than the championship.

I agree.
I mentioned supporters clubs regards people saying things can be enforced once in the ground.
What about the supporters who go on supporter coaches that dont have 6k points or no season ticket. Itd be harsh not allowing entry or throwing them out once down there.
Think the majority understand if you want a ticket enough you can and will get one, regardless of points, restrictions and supposed rules in place.
That's the point I'm making.
Re: 2019/20: Tottenham Hotspur v Burnley - Ticket Information
The tickets to supporters clubs such as London Clarets is a disgrace given that they are allocated without the same restrictions as people buying direct. There's no justification for that.
Re: 2019/20: Tottenham Hotspur v Burnley - Ticket Information
More likely its been reported to themClaretTony wrote:I'm pleased to say this post has been picked up by the club
Some supporters coaches would be half empty if all on board had to have 6000 pts
Will the ticket office stop saving tickets for certain supporters?
Re: 2019/20: Tottenham Hotspur v Burnley - Ticket Information
supporters clubs are no longer randomly allocated tickets.
For each game they have to apply for an allocation same as rest of us with supporting season ticket holder numbers with the correct allocation of points.
After Aberdeen this came into force.
Each supporters club was warned about getting tickets for fans who haven't got the right points. It allegedly came to light that one supporters club were even getting tickets for banned fans upto and including Aberdeen away.
That was how it was supposed to be, would be sad if they've let it slip so soon

Was it an official supporters club though?
I was aware of a coach being put on doing this, and there were band people, none season ticket holders etc with no questions asked.
A few people I know had to use that option when potentially missing out on big away games.
Still ways to get round it if you want a ticket.
More hassle than it's worth policing it to be fair.
Is anyone really that bothered who does get away tickets and whether they're a season ticket holder, have 6k points, live local or even support Burnley?
It's the whole day out and what you make it, is watching Burnley away IMO.

This isn't the case for Spurs tickets
