ClaretandJew, did you look under the stair, to locate the water inlet pipe.

We don't have an under the stairs unfortunately. I've a feeling it's under the skirting board panels near the kitchen sink but not sure.

Fortunately we've turned the isolation valve from the boiler off so it's all good at the moment but would love to know where it is.

What sort of roof do you have in the kitchen? Tiles? Mine used to be under there

Ours is somewhere under the units in the kitchen .... but luckily we have one outside about 30" under ground with an access lid... made a tool in the workshop where I used to work 25 years ago to close it off (3 times in 25 years I have needed to do that lol).

When we have our new kitchen fitted next year ... will get the internal one put in a more accessible position :D
