Re: Stoke v West Brom
Thanks for the reminder buddy. I'm going for a Stoke win or draw and hope I am completely wrong.
Re: Stoke v West Brom
Must admit I'm staggered by just how far Stoke have fallen. From being a longish-term "difficult to beat PL team" to bottom of the Championship despite not selling - initially - all and sundry (unlike Swansea) takes some doing.

Stoke's closing down has been absolutely shocking. They aren't even doing the basic things correctly.

There are plenty on here who could learn something from this. Bored witless of the style they played and demanded a change. Well done Stokies…ecc wrote:Must admit I'm staggered by just how far Stoke have fallen. God, don't let us go back to this dross.
Re: Stoke v West Brom
Question is, can PNE last the pace with it being so tight at the top?

Re: Stoke v West Brom
Fulham are easily the best side in the Championship and they lack the consistency. I don't think there is a side in the Chumps who can last the pace.Spijed wrote:Question is, can PNE last the pace with it being so tight at the top?

I'd say it's the opposite. A lot of sides which is massive competition, but they're all average.ElectroClaret wrote:Well, the competition doesn't seem all that fierce.

If they can keep their main players (and manager) come the end of January, I see no reason why not.Spijed wrote:Question is, can PNE last the pace with it being so tight at the top?

On the other hand ask the West Brom fans if they'd go back to watching Pulis ball and struggling in the Prem. I'd wager the vast majority would say no.bobinho wrote:There are plenty on here who could learn something from this. Bored witless of the style they played and demanded a change. Well done Stokies…

Again....they finished higher in the Premier League for three consecutive seasons than they ever did under Pulis after he left.bobinho wrote:There are plenty on here who could learn something from this. Bored witless of the style they played and demanded a change. Well done Stokies…

Poor recruitment did for them not a more progressive style.

Ask any Rovers supporter whether they were glad they sacked Big Sam......jrgbfc wrote:On the other hand ask the West Brom fans if they'd go back to watching Pulis ball and struggling in the Prem. I'd wager the vast majority would say no.
If you look on their forum BRFCS they rue the day he was given the boot, regardless of style.

Re: Stoke v West Brom
Stoke got relegate 5 years after Pulis left. If Burnley get relegated in 4 years time are we all gonna admit that Boysie was right all along and 2023 relegation was because we were to safe and conservative.
Burnley as a club is doing whats right for us and Dyche is working miracles but the sack Pulis / Stoke get relegated theory is nonsense. Clubs like us and Stoke will get relegated sooner or later no matter how we approach it

Not very good though.

Re: Stoke v West Brom
People also ignore they finished 9th 3 years on the trot in Mark Hughes first 3 years in charge. They were playing good stuff during those few years. I remember them playing City off the park one time. Bojan, Shaqiri and Arnautovich were superb together for a while.Devils_Advocate wrote:Stoke got relegate 5 years after Pulis left. Hughes also wasted a fortune on some very average players. Their record signing barely played a game for them.Dyched wrote:People also ignore they finished 9th 3 years on the trot in Mark Hughes first 3 years in charge.
