Celtic Lazio
Reports that Celtic fans are likely to be ambushed tomorrow at the game with Lazio after the unveiled a banner about Mussolini at the last fixture recently.
Not the brightest thing to do before the away leg, especially when Lazio (and Roma) have such a reputation.
No doubt as ever will be some innocent fans that suffer anything that does happen!

Re: Celtic Lazio
The Green Brigade aren't the brightest tools in the box, plenty of ardent Irish republician sympathies amongst their number as well.
I've lost count the amount of fines Celtic have received due to illicit banners and pyrotechnics inside Parkhead, and yet the numbskulls never learn.
Lazio's fascist leanings are hardly a secret,Di Canio got in trouble during his time in Italy, and even after his playing days ended he was unrepentent.
Yet another game that has a partial stadium closure, you do wonder how effective such punishments really are in stamping out unacceptable behaviour, this action clearly didn't impact on Bulgaria-England,and the hooligan element were still able to make their point however crudely.

Re: Celtic Lazio
The constantly confused green brigade will probably be nowhere Rome today more likely be at home ironing the am I Irish or Palestinian t shirt. The ones who have travelled and get picked off can thank the scrubbers back home for their non stop idiocy. They can always hang more effigies of people from the stands at their next home game.

Re: Celtic Lazio
Celtic fans have a history of misdemeanours in European matches and the club have been fined multiple times by UEFA (the £10k fine they got this October was their 18th since 2007!). The Mussolini banner was deliberately provocative.
Having said which, Italian fans/ultras dont really need any provocation. Many foreign (not just UK) fans have been attacked & stabbed in Italian cities over the past 10-20 years. Italian police dont seem to do much to prevent it & there's little punishment dished out by football authorities (maybe because most of it is away from actual stadia). Not that it's just foreigners who get stabbed, there've been a fair few inter-fan murders in games between Italian teams.

He did all that on his own?
Must be a very handy man.
I hope CT subsequently bans him from the board though, we dont want his types on here.

Re: Celtic Lazio
Has there ever been a match away to Lazio or Rona without a few arrests ? There’s some very rough areas and they do like to do “ an Italian job” ie stabbing in the arse or legs while running behind you , easy to do and hard to respond . In all the countries and people’s ive known the Italians are without a shadow of doubt the most cowardly nation on earth .Often mistakenly grouped with the French who are far from cowards

Sorry pal, i’m Italian and I don’t use knives....by the way you got the point about Roma and Lazio fans about this inaceppatable situation, but not all Italian ultras makes the same things and when u say “Italians are cowardly nation” u are a dickhead like the peoples who stubbed Celtic fans... I respect your opinion but we are not all the same....AlargeClaret wrote:Has there ever been a match away to Lazio or Rona without a few arrests ?
