Certain people on here would think we have had no money to spend when in truth a hell of a lot has been wasted but will not say a bad word about the club.
Looking at our league position suggests that we can afford to make mistakes.
So what if we do make mistakes? I can only think of three possible solutions.
1. Accept that all clubs make mistakes.
2. Sack the people who make the mistakes and appoint people who never make mistakes.
3. Scream and cry like a baby.
(Option 2 isn't possible.)

But we have no money and cannot compete every window according to the messiah - but cleary our policy is not working to go forward as we are currently wasting it and have these last few years.
All clubs make mistakes its just that the messiah can do no wrong but questions should be asked or maybe they are every window in the boardroom - hence no spending.

And why would he have started yesterday when we were obviously going to play 4-4-2 now that Wood was back, and both Mee and Tarks had no injury news? Where were you going to play him exactly?
Probably the same way you know Vydra will improve on Barnes and Wood.

Of course we have money. "We have less money than most of the rest of the Premier League" is not the same as "we have no money".

Fortunately we don't have to because they're in the Championship. We only have to compete with the likes of West Ham!

Wasting it? Wasting it is spunking £40 million on Anderson £46m on Haller, £22m on Diop and £24m on Fornals. How well did that go on Saturday?
A few quid on Walters and Wells is bagatelle.

Alternatively, clearly our policy is working because we're competing where it matters, on the pitch.

Not really.
If you read how they came to this conclusion you'll see it is a flawed judgement:
'To achieve the data, livefootballtickets.com took three steps:
* The most expensive summer transfers from each club were identified.
* Player appearances at each club were extracted using premierleague.com.
* The estimated fee paid to each player was divided by number of appearances.'
So he is in fact the least cost effective transfer comparing only each clubs
most expensive signing.
I'm sure the big clubs will have paid Gibson's fee or more, plus higher wages, for players that have hardly appeared.

The thing though we never spend our full budget always make a profit since we have been in this league so from all the profiteering that's gone on we should have some mighty interest on the money we stockpile
So by rights we should be at a stage were 20k on players are a shoe in

But they will have been more effective as they will have at least played more than one league game in 2 seasons.

The central defensive “rock” is what this team has been built around - as Michael Keane, Tarks and others who have had to wait their turn have found out.
We cannot afford to take chances in this department and have the best back-up that we can afford in Gibson and Long (two international class central defenders).
There is no room for sentiment in football and it would be foolish to dispense with this insurance policy. Things might have been different if our reported interest in Dawson had materialised.
