Re: Pope is 1234
The legacy numbers will be in evidence on Thursday next week for England's home game against Montenegro. It marks England's 1,000th international match and each player will wear his own unique number underneath the crest on the shirt. The digits will then be moved to the inside of the collar for all future international matches.
It might be of interest to some to take a look at the numbers allocated to each of the 29 Burnley players to have played for England whilst actually playing for Burnley.

Top post Houseboy I've taken a picture a couple of mates are gonna love that tonight, brilliant.houseboy wrote:Well mate I was thinking of trying to make some sort of joke about the Pope but you beat me to it with a serious piece of info. The problem lies in you uncovering yet another conspiracy. Pope? 1234? This cannot be a coincidence! Marrying up two things like that will have the wrath of the entire Catholic church rain down on you from high. It seems they have been waiting for the right moment to unleash the second coming and that was to have been shortly after Pope 1234 appeared. Now you have exploded their plot. Move house quickly Boss and change your name - it's the only thing that will save you. Killer monks are unstoppable.

NOBODY expects the Spanish Inquisition! Our chief weapon is surprise...surprise and fear...fear and surprise.... Our two weapons are fear and surprise...and ruthless efficiency.... Our *three* weapons are fear, and surprise, and ruthless efficiency...and an almost fanatical devotion to the Pope.... Our *four*...no... *Amongst* our weapons.... Amongst our weaponry...are such elements as fear, surprise.... oh bugger I'll come in again .

Paul Robinson is certainly another "Before" he came to Burnley international. Remarkably it was some 8 years prior to joining us in 2015 that he last played for England.Vince Fontaine wrote:Paul Robinson????

Didn't David May once have a call to the England Squad (not sure if he got a cap though?) Although it might have protected him when Stan Ternent headbutted him on the Gawthorpe Training ground

Maybe should have been careless feet.
