Walking simulator 2019

I've decided it's not for me after reading the reviews. In any case, my gaming time it rather limited at the moment. A couple of hours a week if I'm lucky.

One game I'm going to buy in the next month or so, to play over the Christmas break, is The Outer Worlds. A bit like Fallout NV, but with around 20/30 hours of gameplay.

Anything by Kojima is worth someone's attention, alas I've had my fill of delivering things in my own life, (thinking of you, Citizen newspaper) I know I'd get fed up after a couple of hours play. More power to those who dig this type of game. I hope Kojima revisits that P.T demo he did a while back on the PS4 whilst with Konami, because that was bloody brilliant, genuinely scary stuff.

As for The Outer World's, it's a good un', has a funny script, maybe a little too post ironic and irreverent for some, everything's a **** take so the stakes don't feel high, best just to go along with its flow. I was expecting New Vegas 2 but instead it was so much more like a Bioshock than a Fallout game. It's deffo got Obsidian's fingerprints all over it though and gives you that good ol' nostalgia kick.

It looks like the worst elements of Metal Gear Solid games. I’ll probably play it when it’s cheap. I’m still working my way through Dark Souls 3

Good to read that a couple of people here on UTC rate The Outer Worlds highly. Apparently, there's a patch about to land sometime next week that deals with the tiny text issue that some have been complaining about on the Obsidian forum.
