Funny how times change, isn't it ?
Twas only a couple of months ago the experts on here decreed Wood and Hendrick were useless.

And it wasn't that long ago that Jeff Hendrick quite unfairly was a bit of a whipping boy on here and now look

It’s just very good news for all fans. There’s always one who has to put a negative slant on things at the expense of other posters.evensteadiereddie wrote:Funny how times change, isn't it ?

They ain’t signIng a new deal at the same pay rates.
I want to keep em both so I am happy.
SD ( Q and A the other week) hinted that Hendricks thinks he can get bigger wages elsewhere, hence the not signing a contract yet.
Re: Wood signs new deal
They could easily have signed the extension on the same deal. No club has ever come in for either player and they will both be on a very good wage (for Burnley). Extending their contracts gives them a guaranteed amount of around £2m a year so it makes sense from their point of view.Lowbankclaret wrote:They ain’t signIng a new deal at the same pay rates.

Re: Wood signs new deal
Hendrick could well get bigger wages in the Championship but I can’t see any other premier league team wanting him. He’s probably waiting to see where it’s looking likely we’ll be playing next year.

I will go with what SD pointed out.
Sometimes players grow out of our reach I think he said.
When talking about Heaton and Hendrick.
They will have got a pay rise, they need to have it to stay and we need they.
I am happy, but if you think they have signed for the same wages, that’s ok.
