Parking Help
I need to get to Manchester pretty quickly after today's game. I live in Yorkshire and go through hebden bridge and elland etc so normally park off Brunshaw road but trying to get to Manchester from there is a nightmare fighting through the traffic.
So could I get some parking suggestions for the best get away to Manchester?

Park on Manchester road, just opposite the opening for the train station (free too). Make sure you are facing up the hill.
Dead easy from there.

Re: Parking Help
Did think of that, I might end up having to leave a few mins early to avoid traffic so would work probablyburnleymik wrote:Park on Manchester road, just opposite the opening for the train station (free too). Make sure you are facing up the hill.

I used to park on there at 2.30 for 3pm kick offs. Parking pretty much all the way up.

Re: Parking Help
Personally I would park on the old pound stretchers car park. Near prontos pizza/B and M etc
Walk through the town centre and your walking past most of the traffic. Once in the car you are only 2 minutes from the motorway.

Re: Parking Help
Just a heads up, Queen Victoria Road is extra busy as you drive towards town as the road that forks right (just past Premier Inn) that leads on to Omerod Road is closed so all traffic heading towards Belvedere Road/Town centre has to queue at the traffic lights near the fire station.
