Dust off the script from last season, but make West Ham even more abject and Burnley even more dominant.

Pope - 7 - couple of good saves, kicking s bit dodgy.

Bardsley - 6 - talked his way through the game and kept everyone switched out, although such defending as he had to do was a tad unconvincing.

Taylor - 8 - welcome return. Defended solidly, attacked with relish.

Tarkowski - 9 - imperious today and had made good decisions in possession. Tidy assist for the first goal.

Mee - 8 - very solid afternoon apart from a couple of slightly rash challenges.

Cork - 8 - calm in possession, mopped up well.

Westwood - 8 - gave intensity to the midfield and showed plenty of quality.

Hendrick - 9 - a text book demonstration of how to play that wide role against flaky opponents. Used the ball well, carried it forwards well, did the dirty work well. If we're being critical h might have shown more conviction a couple of times when he had the chance to score, but that's a minor gripe.

McNeil - 9 - a minor criticism: his man got a couple of crosses in too easily down his side when the game was still a contest. But now we've got that out of the way, we can salivate at a wonderful display of ball playing. Wonderful ball for the disallowed goal, terrific set plays, glorious cross field passes, etc - this was world class.

Barnes - 8 - took his goal well, bullied two uncommanding centre backs.

Wood - 8 - ran them ragged down the sides, showing exactly what we've missed, and took both first half chances we'll - but should have had a hat trick. He had no need to be offside for the disallowed goal, soninlu has himself to blame, and missed 2 presentable and one gilt edged second half chance.

Subs not on long enough.

Well firstly - West Ham were eye waterinhly bad. That's what a really abject away performance looks like. Incoherent, lacking organisation, spine and desire. Truth be told we didn't have to be particularly good to be much the better side - but we were excellent and we thoroughly deserved to win handsomely.

The big gripe is that we didn't win by more. We were so dominant and had so many chances that we really should have won by more like 6 or 7 - it's hard to recall a more comprehensive, dominant performance under Dyche either in this league or the Championship.

Pope 7 - Not too much to do, but was still reliable when called upon.

Bardsley 8 - Won't get dropped playing like that! Nearly scored too!
Tarkowski 8 - Solid as usual
Mee 10* - Won every single header and made some brilliant tackles. Top performance!

McNeil 10 - brilliant cross for the disallowed goal and great ball in for Wood's goal. Looked back to his best.
Westwood 8 - Corners caused havoc!

They were good

Pope 8 - Quiet, but everytime he was called upon, he dealt with it. Looked assured today.
Bardsley 8 - Solid all round performance, he was good going forward and Anderson seems to be terrified of him. Even had a cracker of a shot saved!
Tarks 8 - That header for the goal was superb. Absolutely cancelled out Haller all game.
Mee 8 - One last gasp tackle that was excellent, had another incredibly solid game.
Taylor 8 - Made a real difference. His link-up with McNeil is fantastic. His pace helps to cover McNeil and he looks far more assured with Charlie behind him covering.
McNeil 9 - Some of the crosses were absolutely sublime. His all round game is coming on leaps and bounds.
Westwood 8 - Broke up so many moves it was unreal. The number of times he anticipated a pass and won the ball, very impressive, his workrate is tireless.
Cork 8 - A while seems I have seem Cork fired up like that. He was battling like crazy first half and ended up in a few tussles. Best I have seen him play in a while.
Hendrick 7 - Not massively effective in attack, but he worked his conkers off covering with Bardsley to stop anything coming down that side of the pitch.
Barnes 8 - Honestly never stopped oining Diop. Popped up with a goal when we needed him. Love his passion and his never-say-die attitude.
Wood 9 *MOM- What a difference he makes. The number of headers he won when we pumped it up and the way he ran the channels, brilliant. Best I have seen Wood play. His confidence is clearly high and he looks a very potent threat everytime the ball goes in that box. With McNeil putting them in for him he is just going to keep bagging. Excellent.

Bardsley 7 Solid lack of pace is a worry for future games but not really troubled today

Mee 9 don’t think he lost a header all day made countless interceptions allowed Taylor’s freedom with his cover down that side how he’s not considered for England is beyond me age should not matter form and class should. MOM
Taylor 8 (+1) glad he’s back worked so well with McNeil which is why it’s a 8 not a 7 never should have been dropped brings the best out of McNeil.

McNeil 9 Back to what we seen last year beating men putting balls in the box tenacity winning the ball back just for me missing out on MOM because of how dominant Ben Mee was at the back.
Westwood 7 Defensively solid Rice had nothing today on him and Cork didn’t do anything special though.
Cork 8 Best game for a long time first 30 mins outplayed battled and even skilled noble I was calling for him to be replaced after the last few games but today he looked a different player.
Hendrick 7 looked more dangerous when coming inside after noble went of injured tracked back and helped PB well not a winger so can’t deduct marks for him not creating or crossing as much as I would like to see. Feel sorry for him as he’s class in CM
Barnes 8 work horse nightmare to defend or referee glad he’s ours and no one else’s needs the international break to rejuvenate looked tired at 65 mins
Wood 8 never realised how much he does for us until the last few games we missed him his game is playing on the edge of the defenders so can’t mark down for countless number of offsides but with VAR he needs to just adapt slightly as he won’t get away with anything

So glad we have signed Barnes and wood on new deals after today

Excellent team performance and so good to see the response after last week's off day. West Ham clearly didn't seem to fancy it in the freezing rain, but we mauled them and never gave them a chance to get into the game. Thoroughly enjoyed watching that.

Completely different to last week, but yet again West Ham are the team you want to play at home when you need a result.

We were very good indeed, but the opposition set up, played and gave the ball away with such amarterish abandon it was hard to believe.

Special marks for their keeper, who after being terrible up to the third, suddenly turned into Lev Yashin for the last thirty minutes to stop West Ham getting completely embarrassed.

But we were good, and that is what matters
