Re: Burnley to pull plug on Drinkwater
Big call for the manager and his coaches.
The club has invested a lot on this player both on wages and on training/fitness. A fit DD will be an attractive signing for a rival team and Chelsea will want to maximise any sale. I don’t know the terms of the loan deal or whether we have first refusal on a permanent move, but we could find ourselves in a bidding war for a player that we have brought back from obscurity.
In my opinion the player will have little or no influence on any future deal (regardless of whether he feels he owes Burnley anything) and that is why I think that we should have sent the player back two months ago.

I had to look it up again I just couldn't resist it ....
On 26 August 2012 it was confirmed that Richards would join English Championship side Burnley on 1 January 2013 after the end of the MLS season and in the European transfer window. After initially appearing as a substitute in an FA Cup game, Richards appeared to struggle with his positioning on the field. He was given a second chance, this time in a Championship league game against Huddersfield, coming on after 15 minutes for the injured Dean Marney. Richards again struggled to acclimatise to the pace of the game, and was himself substituted after an hour. This would be his last appearance in a Burnley shirt, and he was sent out on loan shortly after.
Upon his return from his loan spell, Richards was released from his Burnley contract so that he could permanently join Norwegian side FK Bodø/Glimt.
Sean had this player thrust upon him in January .... is it the shortest ever Burnley career less than 40 minutes

Can we claim his wages back,we do waste money on players that never get near the first team.

Be surprised if we have pulled the plug already and given him a game.
Hopefully had a good 90mins.
