West Ham Players
If we could have any of them in a real Claret shirt, who would you pick?
Re: West Ham Players
Always liked Cresswell...we don’t need him but I’d take him for nowt !
Fabianski is a very good keeper too.
Other than that not sure I would have any.
Declan Rice I just don’t get what the fuss is about. Not just today but every time I see him.

Been injured for about 18 months now.Rileybobs wrote:Anyone know why Declan Rice didn’t play today?
Still, the reputation he forged before I’m confident he’ll be good.

Re: West Ham Players
I think Fredericks could be decent in our side. Good right back with a nice bit of pace. Won't ever leave London though so it will never happen.
Cresswell is okay too, but Taylor is better.

Re: West Ham Players
A young Mark Noble would be just what we need.
Other than him I still think we should have signed Ajeti in the last window. He hasn't had much chance to do anything in his brief cameos and he was dropped in at the deep end today. Quick and strong, good with his head and both feet, only 22. A masterclass in **** housing from Barnes and he could have served us well for the next 10 years at a cost of £8m.His strength was evident when he outmuscled Hendrick near the corner flag late in the game.

Re: West Ham Players
he’s not their best player by any means but Snodgrass would still be a good signing for us.

I liked Snodgrass’s positive attitude today but this is the first time I’ve seen him and think he looked past it. We dealt with him comfortably.DCWat wrote:he’s not their best player by any means but Snodgrass would still be a good signing for us.

I’d actually really struggle to pick any of them based on today’s performance.

Re: West Ham Players
Theyve some good players. But the problem is they are the most inconsistent side in the league. Not just this season. Pretty much every season.
But forgetting today, would definitely take Anderson, Yarmolenko, Haller.

I don't watch much football that doesn't involve Burnley, but I have no idea why that fella gets an England game.Rileybobs wrote:Anyone know why Declan Rice didn’t play today?

Re: West Ham Players
Snodgrass or Yarmolenko
Re: West Ham Players
In fairness to him, he was pushed into central midfield for the majority of the game alongside an anonymous Rice.Rileybobs wrote:I liked Snodgrass’s positive attitude today but this is the first time I’ve seen him and think he looked past it. We dealt with him comfortably.

Yarmolenko, just for his attitude.
Was the only one who seemed bothered about trying to get the ball forward.

Yep Yarmelenko was their only real threat.
Re: West Ham Players
I suppose the same question could have been asked of our players last week.
WHU have some good players but yesterday they threw one in and seem to have been doing that for sometime now but their previous 5 games may have been like our two before last week. Lost at home to Newcastle and Palace, drew at home with Sheff Utd, lost away to Everton and drew at Bournemouth.

Declan Rice is not blessed with good looks. You could argue he is like a craterless Iain Dowie.....

West Ham looked like we did at Sheff United. Judging on yesterdays performance I wouldn't want any of them.

Only so that we can pick up his Sick Pay bill. He's going to be out for monthsjdrobbo wrote:Lanzini by some distance.

I would have had Zabaleta a few years ago.
Re: West Ham Players
Some psychic West Ham fans on one of their forums would suggest to me none of them have the mentality to play for us.

3-0 Burnley
Can't see us doing anything in this game. They will work harder, want it more and bully our flair players off the pitch.
I'd like to be wrong here.

Re: West Ham Players
West Ham were an absolute embarrassment yesterday. Pellegrini must be on very thin ice now.

Re: West Ham Players
Yarmolenko - Burnley folk would love him.
NO others!
NO others!
Re: West Ham Players
As I said - bit unfair to judge him based on him being played centrally alongside Rice for most of the game.ClaretTony wrote:Not from what we saw of him yesterday he wouldn’t.
He’s one of a small number of West Ham players who would probably work well in our system - he’s prepared to do more of the dirty work and has a bit of quality about him.
Re: West Ham Players
Sniffgrass is one of the worst divers in football. All he looks for in and around the box is the slightest touch, he then goes down like a sack of spuds,he tried one of them yesterday but luckily Friend ignored it. I wouldn't want him anywhere near our club.
