Yep. Real entertainment. I just worry that a third Liverpool goal will kill the game. Would be good if City pulled one back.

Re: Liverpool vs Man City
NBC say it was a definite pen. I think it was a pen but no different to our one at Sheffield that should also have been given. Didn’t hear anyone mentioning that one like it’s the crime of the century not to give...

Re: Liverpool vs Man City
Might as well sack VAR and throw away the handball rule book while they are at it.
Re: Liverpool vs Man City
Gagging for city to score. going to be some debate over that 1st goal. Hope City get back in it early second half
Re: Liverpool vs Man City
Certainly looks onside but city should've had a penalty.
Re: Liverpool vs Man City
it's like his arm was desperate to stop that ball. The ref needs that camera angle but he doesn't have it, VAR does, it's a handball all day

Re: Liverpool vs Man City
just re-watching the non penalty, comes off Silva's hand first which plays it on to Alexanders, having seen it back I don't think you can give the pen if you don't give the first handball deliberate or not

Re: Liverpool vs Man City
Liverpool deserve to be ahead, but they've carried the luck again,City have to chase the game now there's no other option, but that'll play into Liverpool's hand with their pace on the break, this could end up 4 or 5 if City aren't careful 2nd half.

Re: Liverpool vs Man City
Does anyone know why the goal was allowed to stand when a Liverpool player handled the ball in the build up?

Re: Liverpool vs Man City
Agreed but only because you are then in the realms of anything that hits an attackers arm leading to a goal has to have the goal chalked off, so you probably can’t get a pen after it hit the attackers arm first (when in a natural position) before hitting a defenders arm (in an unnatural position).Vegas Claret wrote:just re-watching the non penalty, comes off Silva's hand first which plays it on to Alexanders, having seen it back I don't think you can give the pen if you don't give the first handball deliberate or not
That incident on its own shows why the law is flawed and the var is flawed and before we know it the game will be even more flawed

They’ll say it’s a different phase then.....something else they make up as they go along given Sheffield’s offside in what most people would say was a different phase of play....Rileybobs wrote:Does anyone know why the goal was allowed to stand when a Liverpool player handled the ball in the build up?
Consistently inconsistent

Man City 4th in the table.

Re: Liverpool vs Man City
Without doubt the Burnley back five yesterday is better than the City back five today.
That means the title race is over (Leicester are not good enough to get 100 points which they would need, in the title season they only got 81).

As clear as handball as you'll ever see against Liverpool. It wasn't even one of those where you think its marginal. TAA knew what he was doing and it was deliberate.Rileybobs wrote:Hardly been raggy have they.

Depending which angle you look at, there's a question over Salahs goal.Rileybobs wrote:What about the other two?

There may be a question but the answer is offside. Offside calls are black and white.Murger wrote:Depending which angle you look at, there's a question over Salahs goal.
Re: Liverpool vs Man City
Reckon Barnes and Wood will be able to cause this City defence some problems in a few weeks on the Turf if we can get the ball off them for long enough.

Offsides are no longer black and white, as you well know. Just look at ours yesterday, or Sheffield Uniteds to know they are just making up as they go along.Rileybobs wrote:There may be a question but the answer is offside. Offside calls are black and white.

Re: Liverpool vs Man City
It certainly looks like Liverool’s Title to lose, now. They look pretty unstoppable, at the moment. City might have peaked last year. I wonder if one of Chelsea or Leicester might sneak up on the rails and pip them to Runners-Up?

That is an impressive stat. 45 games unbeaten at home.

What it is showing is against Liverpool you go with three central defenders

Blatant dive by Sterling should have been a yellow.
