BFC TRANSFER NEWS Jan 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS Jan 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
So I take it no one has any transfer links then?
Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS Jan 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
I for one just wish we had a thread dedicated to BFC TRANSFER NEWS, especially one that contained links

Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS Jan 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
You do have a point, and I see the logic. I suppose if we cant get the moaners to get behind the team, then them leaving is the next best thing. Sad though.TVC15 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 31, 2019 3:49 pmI’m fine with the people who are moaning about the quality of football not renewing - absolutely fine.
I have been on hundreds of games watching Burnley where there was a lot lot less than 20,000 people watching us - and to be honest many of them had a better atmosphere.
If this reduces the number of people attending who love to moan every time Hendrick gets the ball, or when we hit a ball long, or whinge because we are not beating some of the best players and teams in the world...then that’s great.
It’s no skin off the clubs nose financially if these people don’t renew...and maybe they will comeback when we are in the championship when Sean Dyche has had enough of Burnley.
Everybody has a choice of what they want to do. Just like people are entitled to voice their displeasure at games - however irrational or unjustified it maybe. We all sit near some of these fans and I doubt whether the vast majority of us would mind if they did not attend.

Jimmy Dunne recalled with immediate effect, I wonder why considering the Mee, Tarky, Long, Gibbo, are in front of him, unless someone is moving on???

Irish, 29 years old and been on Dyche's radar before so he ticks all the boxes.

I wonder if a cheeky Bid would bring a figure we may be able to afford. The big clubs seem to be awash with these players and they just end up loan fodder. He is 22 so presume he pushing for first team action a bit like Tripps and Mee was.

If I wasn’t planning on going on the turf much more after this season I don’t reckon I’d be right fussed about who we might sign.
Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS Jan 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
Agree 100 percent about him being a Dyche type signing.
I hope this isn't true though.

I would be amazed and feel incredibly let down if we didn't bring in at least one player (centre midfield, obviously).randomclaret2 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2020 1:57 pmSD has again said, in the pre Peterborough press conference, that signings are unlikely
I am confident we will - in seven years here I don't remember SD ever being particularly confident of us signing anybody.

Usually he always finds ways to say they are looking into situations etc. This time it's "unlikely". End of.

Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS Jan 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
Thing is there are players out there. Not saying we should
Sign him but Jack Rodwell is going to Sheffield United.
Dyche’s net is cast unbelievably small so it makes signing players nigh on impossible.
Which makes you ask WTF did we employ Mike Rigg for.

Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS Jan 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
I think the squad we have is more than capable of survival, especially as we are still 4 points clear of 18th. The problem is we have to change this current mindset of how we are playing. We used to do the hard work really well, hassle teams to death, give them no time or space and then hit them with a sucker punch, but recently we seem to have moved away from this with us holding shape at all costs and us giving quality opposition players time and space has been our downfall week after week. We only seem to react once the game has gotten away from us.
That said, I do think we need some quality bringing in, in the summer. Right Back and Central midfield are getting desperate.

Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS Jan 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
Not looking good and strange that today Garlick is saying we should be proud of what we have achieved and steering away from mentioning future investment in players.Add that to what SD has said today and I read that as a sign of lets work with what we have
We always look at the past-relatively lucky with injuries (compared to some clubs), few suspensions and no red cards.I think what we saw v Villa was some very tired players both physically and mentally. SD was laughing off the fixture congestion in a recent press conference The players themselves will be on edge -none will want to exit the PL, and that sort of desperation leads to bookings/sending offs and drop in confidence
Just heard Woodgate of Boro saying they have targetted players and trying to get them in now rather than 4 weeks time. Its an admirable plan. They have signed two today. When you look at our next 4 league games it would be good to have any new faces around the first team now to keep the first 11 on their toes

Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS Jan 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
For CT to say he thinks there may be 1 or 2 means there are irons in the fire. Dyche quite rightly is playing cards close to his chest, and maybe after previous windows where we have lost out to other clubs, he has pushed the party line straight to the top and told them to abide by it.

Those comments from Mike Garlick do give a bit of an impression that he may think our time in the Prem may be coming to an end. As soon as people start talking about achievements it tends to be a sign that what's been achieved in the past is unlikely to be repeated in the near future.warksclaret wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2020 3:29 pm"Not looking good and strange that today Garlick is saying we should be proud of what we have achieved and steering away from mentioning future investment in players.Add that to what SD has said today and I read that as a sign of lets work with what we have"

" for the sake of it " ? Do you mean to give us a Premier League quality midfield thereby giving us a better chance if staying in said League ?
