Do you mean Alisson, Ian, he would be handy

Two from Bristol City would be handy. Looks like Brownhill for sure. About £8m with add ons.
Also Gallagher the young Chelsea lad - rumours dont seem to go away.

Sounds promising only 24 and he's got an eye for goal,5 this term already, decent return for a midfielder,i doubt we'll get him for £7m though, and if other clubs are interested that could lead to a bidding war, which i doubt we'd win.

No no no, it’s a much better idea to tell the world you’re desperate to sign players, which ones, or at least positions. As well as declaring how much money you have to spend. That’s the best way to do your transfer business.boatshed bill wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2020 8:53 pmThis is exactly why I wish we'd get our business done quickly.

It's a dereliction of duty if we fail to strengthen, no excuses will be acceptable and a lot will vote with their feet.

Or we beat the lesser teams, survive comfortably, regroup in the summer and the moaners will shut up for a while.

We might beat the lesser teams, and will probably need to to survive,i don't think it''ll be comfortable though, the summer will require a major overhaul due to the amount of ooc players anyway,so hopefully some young blood will be on the menu to freshen up the squad, but you'll never shut some of the moaners up i'm afraid.evensteadiereddie wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2020 10:07 pmOr we beat the lesser teams, survive comfortably, regroup in the summer and the moaners will shut up for a while.

I hope we can sign them both from Bristol City. Much needed extra bodies and fresh impetuous.
I just hope Dyche doesn't do his usual of signing players and claiming they need weeks to adjust, leaving them sat on the bench. When Barton signed it took ages for Dyche to get him starting and only then did results follow.

Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS Jan 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
I was @ Ashton gate over Christmas courtesy of Sky V.I.P free tickets for the 3.0 win over Luton town.
Josh Brownhill was very impressive both as player and captain. Good organisation, always got in and around the box when City were attacking. Great vision backed up with a good pass.
Niclas Ellasion was immense down the wing. Always beat his man with pure pace, good crosses in to the box also. He has the power and speed we lack for sure.
Only seen them play on that day so no idea if they produce regularly.
What i did see was a very good player in Brownhill, that at the time I actually thought, wow, i wish he played in our midfield. Just what we could do with.

Let's not mess about, 20 million for the two Bristol player's get it done and get them both in, drop Hendrick off the wing and drop cork out of the middle.

Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS Jan 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
Does anyone really believe that Bristol City who are 1 point away from the play offs will sell two of their better players? Sorry not going to happen.
Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS Jan 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
They need the money if you believe what their own fan's are saying and both player's are out of contract in 18 month's with one of them refusing to sign a new deal since the summer.
From the Bristol message board.
"If we can get anything over and above 7 million for Josh he'll be gone. We all should be used to the fact by now that player sales are an important part of the club's strategy. Although no fan likes to see good players move on, we have to accept that without player sales the club is going to be losing about 20 million per year. Even for someone with deep pockets like our Steve that's not sustainable (or desirable)!!"
7/8 million and Vydra on loan for the rest of the season would be my bid for Brownhill. 15/16 million for both if we are in for both (paper talk) and Vydra on loan.

There's also the factor that MAYBE the player(s) wants away and has his head turned with the promise of playing PL football right now and getting a hefty pay increase. If that's the case, you (Bristol Titties) really haven't much choice but to take the money and move on.

I would love it if the club just went in and pulled a double transfer out of the bag for the two Bristol lads and make a bit of a statement, I.e we are not messing about here, can’t see it but stranger things have happened

It won't be enough.
Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS Jan 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
If Brownhill is someone who can play central or wide that to me would suggest we see him as a replacement for Hendrick, rather than someone who will come in and play instead of Cork or Westwood. Time will tell I suppose, have to get it done first!
Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS Jan 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
Maddison only 2.5 million. Our price bracket and seemed decent enough. Gazzump?

Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS Jan 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
Oh Well Maybe not then!
We reported previously that there’s been Premier League interest in Josh Brownhill for some time. So none of the recent reports are particularly new. Josh is one of the best central midfielders in the Championship and one of the best professionals at Bristol City, and as such is going to attract suitors.
He’s a top player and as I’ve written previously he’s probably set for the Premier League one way or another - whether City get promoted, or whether clubs come calling for Josh.
From City’s point of view it wouldn’t make too much sense to sell a key player now - as that would really harm their chances of making the top six. In short - and we’re speculating here - we’d see the summer as being a more likely time for something to happen if it does at all.
We’re not aware of anything happening currently or being close.
Would also add that there’s a lot of speculation at this time of year of course, and especially in those Sunday editions!

If it doesn't happen, you can guarantee if he is rated & shows promise in a season or so, the price will be quadrupled & he'll be at another club & some of us will be remembering we could have had him on the cheap (todays market) back then.

Hes a no.10 that scored 20+ goals the season we bought him but we've never played him there or tried to integrate him into the team. Hes not a 9 or a target man yet hes consistently played there in his limited appearances for us.
obv not who the manager wanted but we could have made it work if we showed a little bit of compromise along the way (willing to try different formations)
If you aren't utilised properly in your workplace it has nothing to do with his financial position
Defour was stuck on left midfield for long enough until he was slotted into a position many people on here could see as obvious, its how you utilise players that makes the difference

Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS Jan 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
I don't think Vydra is a no 10. A true number 10 is an attacking, creative midfielder. Vydra is a centre forward who is capable of dropping deeper - just like Rodriguez. If Vydra was to play he would essentially be playing up front with somebody and not playing in midfield and creating things from deeper.Giftonsnoidea wrote: ↑Mon Jan 13, 2020 5:42 pmHes a no.10 that scored 20+ goals the season we bought him but we've never played him there or tried to integrate him into the team.
