Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS Jan 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
It would be a strange signing, considering that we could have picked him up in the Summer window on a free transfer.SGr wrote: ↑Sun Jan 26, 2020 10:01 pmLink for that:

Not buying it personally, seems like the standard 3-4 club agent link
Signing him on loan, with a view to making it permanent, would be tantamount to admitting a costly mistake was made.
Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS Jan 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
Eze is just pure class, really hope we get involved on that front although I imagine there'll be competition. We could triple our money on the bloke within a couple of seasons.

In my dictionary Astounding means Surprising.Granny WeatherWax wrote: ↑Sun Jan 26, 2020 2:55 pmStill astounding that with only a few days of the window left we haven’t added to our fragile squad. Astounding but not surprising.
Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS Jan 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
No way N'Zonzi joins to be a bench warmer.

Depends how much you believe the garbage that comes out of press articles. Garlick said last week we would end the window stronger. If you believe him then there will be signings, even if it's only to replace drinkwater, otherwise we end up weakerWoodleyclaret wrote: ↑Mon Jan 27, 2020 7:25 amRe transfers expect none and you won't be disappointed

Eliasson, mentioned higher up the thread, not for sale at any price. According to the Daily Record, Celtic were interested.

Nzonzi might be 31 but he immediately improves on what we have. I think he would be a quality addition for 18 months or so.

Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS Jan 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
One option might be to either buy now with a loan back to qpr for the rest of the season, or offer them Vydra as well on loan. They may be happy with Wells + cash + Vydra. Either way, if we want either Eze or Samuel, we need to secure them now while we have Wells to offer. Can’t imagine they’ll want to let their top scorer go!

Would prefer we work on lowering the age of the squad, although I’d love to see us go in for Phillips again if Leeds stay down, so maybe a loan to tide us over is a good idea. Can’t see it though to be honest.
Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS Jan 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
The way we work with transfers I'm more inclined to believe SD than Garlick. I've said all along I don't think we'll sign anyone and nothing that's been in the prerss has changed my mind but I would love to be proved wrong.

David Ornstein (The Athletic) has linked us with Ronald Vieira. England U21 currently at Sampdoria. West Hsm also linked.
Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS Jan 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
If no one leaves or arrives, aside from Drinkwater then surely the squad is at the same standard as before, rather than being any weaker?
Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS Jan 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
2 or 3 departures, same for arrivals.
Unprecedented week for us this week in terms of January transfer windows

Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS Jan 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
Wells, Gibson and Vydra?
That leaves as strikers Wood, Rodders and a crocked Barnes and to replace Wells and Vydra with a decent striker would cost most of next season's transfer budget in this division plus our dry powder stash

Excerpt from David Ornstein article on The Athletic re Sampdoria central midfielder Ronaldo Vieira:
Another club monitoring Vieira closely are Burnley, who sent their senior scout Ian Butterworth to the match. Butterworth has now watched Vieira on a number of occasions but Burnley are not expected to move for him in this window.

ok just read up and watched a video of Eze, he seems ok but he does the crazy jesse lingard dances and hand shakes. Can't really see that catching on
Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS Jan 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
When fit, drinkwater was on the bench, now replaced with untried youth player, so definitely weaker, plus we don't know how long Barnes will be out, so for me no argument it's weaker

Latest from Nixon:
"Big Russian interest in Vydra. Their deadline late in February. Going to cause headaches with Wells future. Burnley won’t sell both. Wells current valuation 7m ... could get more for Vydra."

Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS Jan 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
Which means Wells recalled so we can sell Vydra. Makes me think even more there will be no signings.

Sell them both then buy Bowen. Neither Wells or Vydra contribute. Vydra is literally just cover but will never play. Tell the Russians the deal must be done this week or not at all.

A good few club's after him, West ham and Aston villa just to name two English clubs we are up against so we have no chance, if it was Wigan and Accrington Stanley instead we might of stood half a chance, fake news move on.
