BFC TRANSFER NEWS Jan 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
Hi All,
I know I tried this in Summer and it was a marmite thread, and despite being clear it still descended in to the usual trash talk. A few links are starting to appear, so in an effort to try and separate the wheat from the chaff, so we have a go to section for those who have minimal time while at work to catch up with all things BFC related, and use this forum as the go to source of information, can we please keep this thread clean and concise, Mods delete if you feel not required, no problem.

Lazy journalism to the letter, and not the best site to look at, but some interesting stats around Ben Pearson, and his name just keeps getting linked to us.

But where are we with the Swedish lad Mumgombo? Is he still on trial with us or have we signed him or sent him back home?

Strangely we have never actually said we’ve signed him but it’s five weeks since the club used quotes from him confirming he’s here for the season. Was reported on this site.mdd2 wrote:But where are we with the Swedish lad Mumgombo? Is he still on trial with us or have we signed him or sent him back home?

I personally think we need another target man type of striker. The absence of Wood to me highlighted the fact that Barnes, and to a lesser extent Jay and Vids are no where near as affective without Wood alongside them. Wood is a vital cog in the way we play, at both ends of the pitch.

I can see a last minute deadline day extension of Drinkwater’s loan when Chelsea confirm they don’t want him back and we have exhausted everything else and found it’s too expensive.

I'd be surprised because it would probably send us down. Waiting until the summer (or selling and the buying club loaning him back to us) is the worst I can see. Nobody would be that foolish to sell him in January as we won't be able to replace him.

I think Leicester would be a good move for Tarks. Jonny Evans has always been very injury prone and its highly likely they'll be playing European football next season so plenty of games even if he wasn't first choice.Tricky Trevor wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2019 4:56 pmYesterdays papers.

Gibson just needs to play regular football somewhere, even if it's for a team struggling in the Championship.

I don't ever recall Bowen being linked with us. Britton was recently but he doesn't get a regular game at Celtic. Surprised he's signed that deal with them.

Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS Jan 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
Watched them against Fulham on Sky the other week, he stood out only for the reason he should have had 2 red cards. Averages a yellow card every 1.5 games the commentator said. Wouldn't last 5 minutes in the PL.Steve-Harpers-perm wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2019 5:54 pmSpends at least a quarter of every season suspended.

Bournemouth are sh!t (apparently, with a crap manager whose football was dull and who couldn't hack it up t'north) we should comfortably wipe the floor with these southern softies. Come on Sean, forget the money!

Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS Jan 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
every player has a price, if they meet the alleged clause in his contract it wont matter what any of us think. 50 million is a very fair price for him though, once we pay Brentford their sell on fee we will still be left with a reasonable amount to improve the squad. Defenders are the easiest players to replace in any team, always have been and always will be. He isn't Maldini on Van DijkQuickenthetempo wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2019 10:12 pmWe have played most of the season with two poor full backs and a patchy Ben Mee, and you want to sell Tarky?

I’ve seen Conor Gallagher several times now and he’s very tidy, could even make a good player one day but he’s not ready for the PL.

If we did sell Tarkowski for £50m, and assuming Brentford get a cut between 10 and 25 percent, we'd have less to spend than his current value. Wouldn't this represent a down-grade.
Southampton have sold some good players, look at them now.

Defenders are the easiest to replace?
Our poor defenders the first time up cost us our place at the top table.
Mike Duff aside the others looked off the pace by miles
