Harrogate v Portsmouth
All that way on a Monday night for Portsmouth fans and a decision at 19:45 if the game goes ahead due to a power problem because of the weather.

Re: Harrogate v Portsmouth
Posted a thread on this when the TV games were announced - Pompey to Harrogate on a Monday and Carlisle to Dulwich Hamlet on a Friday. It’s ridiculous.tim_noone wrote:Ridiculous KO time in the first ...hope Pompey win for their fans on a foul nasty night.

Announced game will be on! Just imagine all that way for it to be off and travelling back in 10 days on a Tuesday night to try again. Glad it is on but Harrogate for me tonight.

Re: Harrogate v Portsmouth
If the power is back on now why do they need to wait about 45 minutes to kick off?

Re: Harrogate v Portsmouth
It does in Harrogate, particularly for those Portsmouth players who are used to the stifling heat down south.Bordeauxclaret wrote:Does it take that long?

Re: Harrogate v Portsmouth
Very wet night ---no band ---observe the silence and the last post ---temperature is 4 degrees. Could be an interesting game!tim_noone wrote:Will there be a minutes silence Poppy's and a marching Band for this game?
Forgot to mention --no poppies on shirts!

Re: Harrogate v Portsmouth
11 minutes in and Harrogate lead 1-0, blustery wind, rain, artificial pitch, upset very much on the cards.

Re: Harrogate v Portsmouth
Artificial pitch is crap and you can tell straight away that the ball doesn't quite behave the same. Please God, let's not see them allowed in the higher leagues....like bloody VAR.

Weren't Pompey almost promoted last season? They seem to have gone somewhat backwards since then.

I've been disappointed with Harrogate for the most part, passing has been dreadful - guess the conditions haven't helped though to be fair
