Irish open snooker....

Post by Bosscat » Thu Nov 14, 2019 3:04 pm

Watching Ronnie O'Sullivan play Stuart Carrington .... well am trying to but everytime the lady (I think she is Romanian) referee comes into shot my eyes are drawn to a rather full and bulging white blouse

I've been watching some of it on Eurosport, but there's 2 problems I find with Eurosport and ITV, compared to the BBC (which is the best snooker coverage... BY A MILE!)

1. It sometimes sounds like they've left the bloody door open. I've been informed it's due to incorrect settings on their audio equipment (yet they do bugger all about it - the same happens with ITV)

2. Eurosport have Jo Johnson and Dave Hendon - their voices are simply not made for snooker commentary and I have to watch it on mute when those two are on. Hendon also loves his own voice too much (yeah, I know).

The BBC have the best footage, the best pundits and the best commentators. Yet Eurosport and the ITV don't seem to learn anything from them.

Haha you really don’t like Eurosport coverage do you Frank. I don’t mind Joe Johnson, I watch it on Eurosport simply because it’s the only channel to show all the tournaments so fair play to them. I do agree regarding the BBC though by far the best snooker coverage, punditry whatever you want to call it.

:D JJ sounds about 97 and sends me to sleep.

Give me Steve Davis, Dennis Taylor, John Virgo, John Parrett every day.

I praise you for being able to tolerate him though.

Anyone watching the Final? Trump 5-4 O’Sullivan, one frame played tonight and Ronnie took it but both missed a couple of easy pots. This could go all the way

the coverage on eurosport is infinitely better than on the bbc. the main reason being the director at least has a modicum of snooker knowledge.

it used to be like that on the bbc but alas no more. these days their young production team are more concerned with graphics and those fuucking terrible interviews with a pensive piano whilst they throw shiit into the sea.

dennis taylor was wise to be intimidated by me. i very nearly nutted him.
