Andre Gray
Just seen him in a green lambo burning past on the Tickle Trout roundabout.
Not suggesting we’re back in for him. Little Mix are in Manchester so I’m guessing he’s visiting the area/club.

He did well for us. He helped us get Promoted as Champions, doing the double on the B*stards(and scoring against them), then helped us stay in the Top Flight for the first time in 40 years, then went for a tidy profit.

Just hope he plays next week, and do not noo him.
People like Gray, Shackell, Coyle and Howe always seem to get grief from the people with short memories regards what they did for this club.

He made some pretty horrible homophobic comments which would be a fair reason not to like him. He also goaded his own fans on numerous occasions when he scored which could quite understandably get people’s back up.Top Claret wrote:Andre was brilliant for us, what's not to like about him?

Really felt that game it was our time.

Re: Andre Gray
Some can only talk of Chris Wood being flagged offside, I look at his performances and goals.
Some can only talk about Andre Gray’s poor touch. I prefer to look at his goal return, how it was such a factor in taking us up and then keeping us up.
Terrific for us for two years.

Of course, but we could have won the Premier League title had he had a good first touch.

I hope he continues that form next Saturday, though.

He played an important part in our Championship winning campaign, and then in retaining our PL status the following season, that strike against Liverpool was real class, and that result gave the squad belief we belonged at this level,we doubled our outlay when he moved to Watford, and the timing was right for both parties.
Hope he has a stinker next week though

Fantastic player for us.
He was a silly boy with the texts. But completely oppose digging out dirt from years ago. Times change, and people along with them. I know I do not have the same view of the world I did five-ten years ago. It is somewhat different if it relates to physical crime.

Very good at scoring goals if the ball fell nicely right in front of him, but other than that bobbins. £18m

It takes a certain type of person to drive around in a green Lamborghini particularly when looking fairly average on the pitch. However he’s apologised for his tweets and they were made years ago. They were ill thought out if thought about at all. I suspect many that keep going on about it are the ones that would like therapy and forgiveness for murderers etc Gray did well overall for us and we got a good price for him. Move on.

Always think back to yourself and the views you may have had at a young age... I bet they were a darned sight different to now.
He came to Burnley at the right time in his career and scored some excellent goals and we turned him into an investment that paid handsomely.
Good luck to him in his career wherever it takes him. I may not think he was the greatest footballer ... but he certainly gave us a huge boost with his 32 goals in 72 matches .... better than 18 in 71 for Watford.
Andre Gray was 18,000,000 ways greater for us than just scoring goals.

Played a huge part in getting us in the PL. Probably as good a £12m as we have spent when we signed him. Seem to recall he scored a a number of goals
in a series of 1-0 or 2-1 wins when we didn't necessarily play well
Having said that-it was absolutely the right thing to do when we sold him. Same can be said of Sam Vokes

Andre Gray was in a different place(mentally & physically) when he made those comments.
He moved on, bettered himself and acknowledges the views were wrong. Respect to him for that.
Effective goal scorer for us, and yes he can control a ball further than I can kick it, but we're in the Prem, in no small measure down to him.
Still hope he has a shocker next week
