Re: Peacock-Farrell
Neither, I imagine. He has limited games to sort out the defence as a whole.Bosscat wrote:Will Sarfgate give His Emininence The Pope a run out tomorrow or Henderson instead of Pitchfork ??????

Re: Peacock-Farrell
I think they will find it difficult to get anything out of this game.
Re: Peacock-Farrell
Sections of the press think Pope might play tomorrow. He has to give him some game time before the summer in case Pickford gets injured.Bosscat wrote:Will Sarfgate give His Emininence The Pope a run out tomorrow or Henderson instead of Pitchfork ??????

Re: Peacock-Farrell
Possibly. But like I say, the central pairing overall isn't performing well and the keeper is part of that with regards to communication.jrgbfc wrote:Sections of the press think Pope might play tomorrow. He has to give him some game time before the summer in case Pickford gets injured.

Re: Peacock-Farrell
I find it very strange that Southgate gives his other goalkeepers hardly any opportunity. If they are suddenly called upon in a big game he’ll probably regret it.jrgbfc wrote:Sections of the press think Pope might play tomorrow. Re: Peacock-Farrell
International penalty taking is not what it was !!!
That was very poor to say the least.

Re: Peacock-Farrell
What are the chances of him going on loan to Stoke if Butland continues to be bobbins?

Smart arse in the studio just claimed that scoring from a penalty isn't easy. Can't think of many easier ways.

Re: Peacock-Farrell
That would be my thinking,Pickford apart the others have precious little international experience.I guess with less friendlies there's not much chance of experimenting.jrgbfc wrote:Sections of the press think Pope might play tomorrow. Re: Peacock-Farrell
0-0 not enough for NI to qualify, they'll be a handful in the play-offs,and a clean sheet for BPF,the last few minutes in Holland, and wasting the penalty ultimately proved decisive.

Re: Peacock-Farrell
Still can’t understand the taker standing by the ball whilst all that time wasting crap is going on. Go and hide away from all that and come forward when the ref has it all sorted.
Re: Peacock-Farrell
He played well. Looked safe and sound.
Re: Peacock-Farrell
I'm assuming the plan is for BPF to step up and be our number 2 when Hart goes at the end of this season?

Reminded me of a penalty Dave Thomas missed for us v Man City Dec. 1970 at the Beehole End. Wouldn't have hit another set of goals sat on top of the existing ones. Noel Gifton- Williams came close to repeating it a few years ago down the other end.wilks_bfc wrote:NI just skied a penalty

Nick Pope and Bailey Peacock-Farrell are our two goalkeepers on the BFC 2020 Calendar for the month of September.
Joe Hart features for the month of February !?

Re: Peacock-Farrell
John Angus skied one in similar fashion towards the Bee Hole End. Just about the last minute against Leicester, but we were winning. 1-0, I think. He got booed by the crowd much to my father's annoyance.Silkyskills1 wrote:Reminded me of a penalty Dave Thomas missed for us v Man City Dec. 1970 at the Beehole End. Re: Peacock-Farrell
According to all the Birmingham fans I know they are wanting to take hart during the January window. Nobody is sure whether they would be looking at buying him or just taking him on loan for the rest of the season with a view to signing him as a free agent at the end.

I think id prefer an experienced no2 like an Adrian to come in and BPF to get 1st team action in the 2nd tierjrgbfc wrote:I'm assuming the plan is for BPF to step up and be our number 2 when Hart goes at the end of this season?

He has already got quite a fair amount of level 2 experience whilst playing at a side that was top of the Championship at the time!ZizkovClaret wrote:I think id prefer an experienced no2 like an Adrian to come in and BPF to get 1st team action in the 2nd tier

It went out of the ground. Why on earth Angus was taking a penalty in the first place is beyond me.Quicknick wrote:John Angus skied one in similar fashion towards the Bee Hole End.
