Season tickets
I was toying with the idea of buying a season ticket this year but never bothered in the end as I live in Gloucester and wasnt sure how many home games I'd get to. I was wondering if anyone knows wether the club do a half season ticket as every time I check online it says not available cheers

Don't think they've done one for a few years now

Re: Season tickets
We haven't done them for a while I don't think, at least since we got back in the Premier league.
Might be worth calling the ticket office to check what the plans are this year?

Re: Season tickets
I inquired about this a few weeks ago as my godson wanted to start coming on.
As we were already in the JMU and there is an empty seat next to us, I asked if we could get a child's season ticket for that seat for the remainder of the season (wasnt expecting the "free" one and would have paid the "additional ticket" price.
Was told wasn't possible once the season started, so having to get individual tickets for each game

Re: Season tickets
Would be a good idea if the club brought this option back
Even if they sold 100 extra some might have other engagements like cricket or what ever at the start of a new season so missing two or three games wouldn't bring value
I know at least two who would take up the option

Re: Season tickets
The club will think attendances are good and no need for offers or effort in selling more.
But half ST are good, along with the 6 ticket bundles we used to do.
Maybe the club are near to maximum ST sales? You have to keep 3k back for each game don't you?

Re: Season tickets
With the crowds we get these days the club probably think theres no real need anymore.
Re: Season tickets
But surely if the club have got people who would like a half season ticket that should be encouraged, as they're then highly likely to get a full ticket next season.

Re: Season tickets
I think, once sponsor's and various commercial interests inc the PL's "Partners" allocations are taken into account this will be about right tbhQuickenthetempo wrote:Maybe the club are near to maximum ST sales? You have to keep 3k back for each game don't you?
Re: Season tickets
I've checked with the Ticket Office and half season tickets aren't available and haven't been since we went into the Prem.

Re: Season tickets
How many STH do we have?
Don’t we have to have a set amount for “general sale”?
That’s the only logical reason I can see for us not do “half tickets”

Re: Season tickets
Unless you know someone who wants a ticket sitting by themselves you may struggle anyway. I’d love to start taking my five year old on but every seat is taken round where my season ticket is. So I have a choice, move seats next season where I can find a couple of seats together and accept I won’t be able to sit with my friends anymore or wait until the seat to our group’s left or right becomes free. The problem with the first option is that I move seats and after a few weeks/months my son decides he isn’t really interested then I’m stuck sat by myself unlikely to get my original seat back.

Re: Season tickets
There's a lot more money to be had in selling single seats to tourists.
My ST in the CF stand works out at around 16 quid a match, single match basis 30 quid.
So you can see why they're not in a rush.
If it's a tourist/ground hopper taking that seat up they might spend 100 quid in the club shop.

Like getting a seat on an Accy Clarets coach. Once your bum gets moulded to it, you won't want to miss a match!Leisure wrote:But surely if the club have got people who would like a half season ticket that should be encouraged, as they're then highly likely to get a full ticket next season.

Re: Season tickets
If we were sold out every match, I could understand not issuing a half season. However, Jimmy Mac has lots of spares. A concerted effort would make that a better filled stand, every match. As Leisure says, once in the seat, they would repurchase.

That’s the same situation we had with my nephew.martin_p wrote:Unless you know someone who wants a ticket sitting by themselves you may struggle anyway. He wanted to come on with us a times last season but as we sat in JML there was no seats around for us to get him a ticket to try, and unable to find 4 together in JMU for us all to go as a family.
Luckily we were able to get 4 in JMU this year for us all to move together. Our 4 seats start one in from the aisle (the club gave us them so assuming it was previously taken) however it was empty for first few games, but my godson now comes on so it’s the seat we purchase an individual ticket for each game.
He’ll be coming on each game anyway so happy to pay “full amount” just to make it easier for us
