I knew he wasn’t dead. I have long held the belief that The Beatles are dying in order of talent. Paul’s got nowt to worry about whilst Ringo’s alive.

I'd hardly call the Frog song awesome!

That's up there as one of the worst songs ever recorded!

The Frog Chorus was part of an album’s worth of material that McCartney was thankfully persuaded not to release.

This joke doesn't make sense, unless Ringo was the second or third most talented member of the Beatles.

It’s inferring that the order of talent goes, John, George, Ringo, and then Paul.

It was definitely pre-Frog-bloody Chorus. Is McArtney possibly the most over-rated artist ever? I'm not certain but other than with Lennon and a couple of solo gems whilst still with the Beatles has he done much at all? Even Guns and Roses did a better version of Live and Let Die. Actually Live and let Die was possibly his last good song but having never followed him for years he might have done the odd thing. Mull of Kintyre, the Frog thing, a couple of dodgy Christmas songs, he's been living off the Beatles for over 50 years.

I'll give him Band on the Run - not a bad album - but that was in the 70's.

To be fair (as always) the lad can sing, he has an excellent top range, but his songwriting skills leave a little to be desired. I just think his music is a bit...soft, lacking in any purpose, a tad dreary and slightly dull. It's boring as f!ckin sh!t mate.

Ringo very much maligned and it's been good sport down the years to knock him following
Lennon's jokey comment about him not being the best drummer in the Beatles !!!

Does anyone seriously think that John, George and Paul would have put up with him for
all those years ?

Don't take my word for it :-

Whilst I see your point re Ringo, the two best ones have left us already... and plenty will argue the main talent was Lennon. I’d join them.

Paul McCartney has been and still is a wonderful songwriter and all-round musician. His talent is phenomenal. Of course, at 77 his voice isn't as strong as it was 5 years ago, but give him credit for turning up again and again to thrill, inspire and bring happiness to so many, despite being a multi multi millionaire who hasn't actually needed to work for the past 50+ years. The man is an all-time great, and one of the very greatest creative people ever to live.

i quite like the beatles too, obviously you're a big fan.
but everything is subjective, and to state he is one of the greatest creative people ever to live is pushing it !
certainly high in the popularity stakes , but he cannot even read music, and is average at best on bass and piano.
so that leaves joint efforts with lennon and co on songwriting and a few of his own
The records were huge productions, overseen by george martin, and had orchestral, or session player accompaniments.

And he's left handed. All left handed musicians are massively overrated because of their disability.

Headline spot on Saturday is not the time he will stick much new material in. Maybe further down the order but this should be hit after hit.

I’m looking forward to listening to it, rain or sun, I think this will be a moment to savour :)

Ha ha

I once saw Diana Ross live at the NEC in Birmingham. Long time ago, mid 1990s, but she was brilliant. She’ll be some age now although probably younger than McCartney.

What a great opportunity to knock this useless, sh!te musician. Can you tell me any other musician who has:
1. Written or cowritten 32 songs which have reached number 1 in the Billboard top one hundred.

2. Has two inductions into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

3. Has 18 Grammy awards.

4 . Has the second biggest selling song in the UK (Mull of Kintyre), behind Elton John's homage to Lady Di.

5. Is, according to the Guninness Book of Records, 'the most honoured composer and composer in music' with 60 goalddiscs, 40 with the Beatles, the rest as a solo or joint performer.

6. As A Beatle sold over 150 million singles and over 100 million albums.

7. Is the most successful songwriter of all time with 188 charting records in the UK, 91 in the top 10, plus a record 33 number. Ones in the USA.

8. More number one singles in the UK (24) than any other musician.

9. Is the only artist in history to reach Number One in the UK as a solo artist, duo, trio, quartet and quintet and also as a musical ensemble.

10. Just one of his songs 'Yesterday' is possibly the most covered song of all time with over 2,200 versions.

Let's forget all that and go on a sh!tty football message board and call him a useless musician who can't read music(please name me on who can)". Yeh let's forget that and show how clever I am am by talking bullocks on here.

Beyonce has 22 Grammys. Doesn’t stop her from being ******* shite

He's an old git with a face like something out of a geriatric dementia ward...and hes written nothing but crap since the early 70s.

If the bland dogmuck regurgitated by McCartney snce then had been served up by some no-mark band at Stackstead Workers theyd probably have been paid to bugger off.

Utterly insipid old tossbag.
