Got the guitar out again lads
Working on some new material.. mainly about life since Mario came into the world, evenings drinking with Blutes, and a track that would work well as an album closer, an ode to Aberdeen defender Scott McKenna. All being well hope to get into the studio and record some stuff over Xmas with a view to an album release early spring.. got a mate who works at EMI so will get him the demos and then just a case of marketing, TV campaign, billboards etc. Got a really good feeling about this lads.

What guitar(s) are you using for creating this material?

Fender telecaster mate
Also done a cover of Alan Jacksons seminal Don't Rock the Jukebox. Couldn't help mixing it up a bit and changing the lyrics to make it about Tup playing for the pool team in Wick.

Re: Got the guitar out again lads
all good in the hood bud.. just sent my cover version to my mate gerry who used to be Noel in the late 90s Oasis tribute band NoWaySis. To say he's impressed is perhaps the understatement of the century. Lads, he's talking about getting the band back together..... with me as the enigmatic front man. A proud moment indeed. Thing is I think my strengths are more geared towards being a solo artist and am trying to figure out a way to let gerry down gently... < just realised that's a great name for a song. Problem solved, I'll do a song for him telling him I don't want to be in the band.

Eh? Working on some new material today, lads. Lewis Fergusons stunning overhead kick at Burnley is the inspiration. Really nice guitar solo 3/4 way through. Still got a hint of Alan Jacksons Don't Rock The Jukebox though. Consciously trying to get away from that sound. Still haven't broke the news to Gerry yet.

If anybody else is into this sort of thing, I'm selling my air guitar. It cost not far off £1k brand new, but as I never use it, willing to let it go for £50. Just leave your details if interested.

Air guitar, pfffft. Get yasen a tennis racquet. Right or left handed doesn’t matter. Bit of practise ya can play it behind your neck and never miss a note.FactualFrank wrote:If anybody else is into this sort of thing, I'm selling my air guitar. Re: Got the guitar out again lads
Lads listen, started working on a track called Heartbreak Hotel, inspired by the time Rumpus sneaked into a Travelodge room that his wife and her lover had booked and hid under the bed crying while they made love all through the night. The sound I'm getting from the Fender is a REVELATION. The track itself is a bit like Wicked Game.
Re: Got the guitar out again lads
Featuring Morag on the Sax, I bet she can give a right proper blow...

Just a wild suggestion.
Turn that guitar round and play left handed and try to knock up a paean to Morag. Could call it something like......... The wind cries Morag.

Morag is a very inspirational lady, tup put her through the emotional wringer and she came out stronger. Will write an upbeat song about her to reflect her spirit.
