Would certainly be a very strange choice for Spurs

You don't think transforming Spurs from also rans to a team who can compete with any team in Europe is an achievement? Particularly after barely spending any money.

I think Pochettino and Levy had been in conflict for some time. Levy's a control freak and the manager expressed his displeasure about being marginalised regarding transfers on several occasions.

But IMO they've lost their best manager for years.

So do you think Dyche has been a failure at Burnley because he's only won one trophy in 7 years?

Totally agree with that ecc. The whole of football knows how difficult Levy is to deal with.

I got 2 tickets for Spurs yesterday. I was looking forward to watching the Clarets play against a side managed by Pochettino.

Do you think there's a chance I can get a refund? ;)

I've just been reminded that Amazon are currently filming Spurs for the next All or Nothing series.

That's going to be worth a watch.

It was looking good for a while with poch, but i can well understand the dismissal.
Running 3rd to city and liverpool might have been impressive, but that, plus the strains of champions league have taken their toll sadly.
However glorious an achievement reaching that final was, they lost, and as a manager he hasn't won a thing.
This season has dealt out some poor results too, and behind the scenes it can't have been a happy atmosphere.

Wow, do you think Amazon are paying Poch's severance. That will have more than doubled the value of the documentary.

It will be on every Gunners Xmas present list for starters.

Hardly. Pochettino made the club competitive, but it’s time for them to go to the next level and actually win something.

If he chooses someone like Howe on the other hand instead of a proven winner, then yes I agree

As others have pointed out, Mourinho isn't exactly famous for working to improve a squad or playing youngsters, he's a chequebook manager.
I'm really struggling to see the logic in Spurs appointing him tbh, unless Levy is going to give him money to spend.

Looks done and dusted that it’s Mourinho. He won’t change and can anyone see Levy changing?

Something isn’t clearly right, it’s a combination but starting from the top downwards, the squad needs freshening up & get rid of the deadwood, some might point to poor recruitment.

No I don’t. But this is about where this club is going rather than what they’ve achieved already. They’ve had a great few years have Spurs, and they’ve assembled a brilliant team, but they need silverware to show for it. I think Pochettino had taken them as far as he could.
