Dyche to West Ham
I'm sure he's going to be in the running when pellegrini falls on his sword today....the Hammers are woeful. I feel sorry for Roberto with no defence.
Re: Dyche to West Ham
Defence doesn’t help but he’s a truly shocking keeper.
Re: Dyche to West Ham
Thankfully they have delusions of grandeur so there is not a hope in hell that they would think SD is good enough for them.

The London Stadium could be a giant empty bowl in the Championship.
I like Pellegrini but as with all managers they are in the hands of the players and West Hams are shockers.

I like Pellegrini. He comes across as a classy guy, and he knows an immense amount about Football Management; and he has has success too.
West Ham are in a mess on the pitch, and he has to take some responsibility for that, mind.

West Ham won’t want Dyche. Someone who gets relegated and pots the manager say like a Southampton could well come in for Dyche however.

The best thing, when Dyche eventually does leave, is that nobody will start threads about Dyche leaving. For any club in the world.
Even when they still have a manager.

They’d file Dyche under Allardyce. Not a hope they’d ever go for him (nor him them)
Re: Dyche to West Ham
Personally would hate to see Mark Noble playing for us - plays with right sort of aggression but arrogant and conceited. Didn’t like the way he celebrated the penalty he scored against us a few years back. Sorry but he should fall with the other Wet Spammers.

Re: Dyche to West Ham
There’s a very high chance Dyche will be offered a bigger opportunity than we can offer in the coming months. More to spend, better players and a chance to win silverware will all be factors.

Re: Dyche to West Ham
Why is there a high chance?
Plenty clubs won’t even consider someone like Dyche and in part such a decision will be influenced by the clubs fans, who will want a name.
I’d be amazed if Everton and West Ham we’re considering Dyche. They probably should but likely won’t.

The Southampton model would not interest SD.Right_winger wrote:West Ham won’t want Dyche. Someone who gets relegated and pots the manager say like a Southampton could well come in for Dyche however.
There the manager's simply a first team coach and the club is designed to run a certain way ....from youth teams and their recruitment to first team. Therefore a change in manager has less impact on the running of the club and managers office has a revolving door fitted.

There’s a high chance because Dyche brings you club wide development, he brings you culture. He’s a pragmatist, he plays in a way that makes Burnley successful. That isn’t the limit to his style.DCWat wrote:Why is there a high chance?

Everton, West Ham, Arsenal need a new culture, and they’ve had enough of ‘names’
I’d put and do put money on Dyche leaving us this season. It’ll be sad for us, but we’ve had a hell shirt out of him and the staff!

Re: Dyche to West Ham
I suspect some clubs, like Everton, Arsenal, West Ham for example, really do need a change of culture and style and SD would do an excellent job for them. A good number of their grass roots fans may even have grudgingly come round to accpeting the truth in that, BUT there's no way imo that the boards at clubs like those would choose to look at SD as to them he's "beneath" them and would not be high profile enough for their ambitions. They need to wise up and take a look at who they really are and be more realistic about where they are really going, but until they do, it's us who are cashing in!! Thankfully.

You can’t deny Dyche the opportunity to move, but his feet are firmly under the table at Burnley - West Ham though would be lucrative but brings little security. Everton would be an ideal option for him. But is he fashionable enough?

Re: Dyche to West Ham
I don't believe for one minute that Dyche has approached West Ham. From what we have seen of him over the last 7 years or so, I would be amazed if he had the gall to sound out another job especially when there is already a man in place, however precarious his position. He has more respect and class than that. If they come knocking, then fair enough, but to suggest he's chasing Pellegrini's job while he is still employed by West Ham is quite frankly insulting to both men.
And I am absolutely certain, he would use the correct channels and procedures if the opportunity ever rose.

You’re right to say that, there’s also little evidence to suggest the current style is his only style.DCWat wrote:But there’s little evidence that this isn’t Dyche’s style.
Dyche brings you a culture, and that’s what clubs are missing. They can bring in x amount of players but unless the club has a culture that is reflective of the fan base it will fail to engage the fans.
Arsenal, Everton, need a Dyche to engage the fans. West Ham need a name to appease the fans.
I do think Dyche will go this summer, even maybe this winter. I will be sad, but I will be thankful that the board, Dyche and his team left a culture of development at the club that ensured my club will be around for years and years to come.

Re: Dyche to West Ham
Dyche has built his career on not messing around and sticking to the proper way of doing things.
He loses that, and he loses a lot that makes him, well, him
I'm another btw who can't believe that other, bigger premier league clubs can continue to ignore him, but a West Ham caller on 606 last night who wouldn't have Dyche because...........he hasn't the experience.

He ain’t going to West Ham.
The chairmen are odd, the fans impatient...he’ll be sacked as soon as they go on a bad run.
The job he’s done with us makes no difference in an era where you cannot overcome your reputation or the general unfashionable perception of British managers. Look at Pulis - did amazing things with Stoke, but never moved “up the ladder”. Likewise Big Sam and several others before them.

Pulis is a fair point
I admit to being slightly misty eyed about SD, but I still don't think he's as bad as Big Sam and especially Pulis were when it comes to watchable football.

Re: Dyche to West Ham
So the silly season begins again and we have threads about Dyche going to "bigger" clubs. I'll ask again, like I did last season and the season before (etc, etc) What exactly makes these other clubs "bigger" these days? Other that the top 6, the 14 others all generally have the same order of magnitude of money to play with (including us), some have the benefit of an oligarch or such like to have some insurance to gamble, but generally the playing field for the other 14 is as level as it has been for years. You can forget history - any manager knows that history means bugger all for getting your next win; you can forget fan base - all clubs generally fill their ground these days and it's the fan base who'll get you sacked however big it is; as I raised above, the money is levelling for the rest of the clubs because the TV element is dwarfing other income. That doesn't leave many reasons for defining "big" clubs.
The only reason SD would want to leave, IMO, would be for a new personal challenge and I don't think he's finished here yet - he still has improvements to make yet and he knows he can achieve it with us.

If Dyche went to West Ham he'd need time to have a good clear out and sort things out. Like his first season with us he clearly set his stall out to make us hard to beat, and tbh a lot of it was dreadful to watch. Those Tuesday night home games around February/March particularly stick in the mind. Would West Ham or Everton fans be willing to put up with that?

In that case, he'll be worth a couple of quid on being their next manager, as I've not seen him listed on any of the 'next West Ham Manager' odds.Herts Clarets wrote:Not saying there is any truth in it, and it does go against everything that SD stands for. Edit: He's now appearing. 7/1 with SkyBet, behind Benitez, Hughton, Howe and Wilder.
