Danny Ings' fast feet
On telly tonight - Danny's got well quick feet - nearly as fast as Benny Hill at the end of his shows.

Funny how Danny thought the grass was greener on the other side, his Fast Feet will be operating in the Championship next season.

Think that's a little harsh. Had an opportunity to go to Liverpool, was just starting to get going under Jürgen and then gets a very bad injury which effectively ended his chances at a top club.Steve1956 wrote:Funny how Danny thought the grass was greener on the other side, his Fast Feet will be operating in the Championship next season.

He opted to leave his employer for more cash I think we all would.

Anyone who does this against them is beyond reproach IMHO. https://youtu.be/3sGZ8UbkaiU" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Pretty sure that front 3 didn't exist when he joined, and he was part of their plans until he got his serious injurySteve1956 wrote:Not harsh mate,I think Liverpool's current front three put paid to any chance he had there

Re: Danny Ings' fast feet
Ings would have been insane to turn down a move to Liverpool ,he’s grafted his way into that team and was nudging an England call when the injuries struck .Done well to get himself back to scoring prem goals. Great for us but some people just can’t let it go

Re: Danny Ings' fast feet
Glad he’s managed to stay fit and doing well now.
I don’t have a view on what happened at the end between Ings and Dyche because I ain’t got a clue who did what so I’m not going to judge him on this.
But I can judge him on being one of the best players I have seen in a Burnley shirt. The year we went up he was outstanding. His partnership with Sam is the best one I have ever seen in my 40 years plus of supporting the club and Danny was the best player in the league - his touch, skill, dribbling, movement, work rate and finishing were all great,
And he also put a hell of a lot back into the community - as much as I have seen from one of our players. I saw at first hand the way he was and was up Belvedere one Sunday afternoon for a charity match for someone who many of us who will know who passed away. Danny spent the whole afternoon there - and was brilliant with the fans. We know how he was with the pitch side fan too and the work he did in setting up his charity. I never got the impression he did any of this to increase his own profile or anything like that.
Personally I think we were very lucky to have a player and person like Danny play for Burnley.

Re: Danny Ings' fast feet
I can't think of anyone of his standard turning down a dream move to Liverpool. His injury really did for him and alledgedly backing his employers at the tribuneral isn't something to be ashamed of.

Re: Danny Ings' fast feet
He was certainly our star striker and we did treat him like a prima donna. In the same team as Trippier who has really gone on to greater things. There was a rumour that circumstances were not the best between him and tge club when he left usdamo_whitehead wrote:Think that's a little harsh. Re: Danny Ings' fast feet
Danny was excellent for us but he had his mind elsewhere in the second half of that last season and I don't think we'd have played him very much had we had any other options.Stayingup wrote:He was certainly our star striker and we did treat him like a prima donna. Re: Danny Ings' fast feet
In the first half of the season Ings was practically taking on the other teams defences single handily. Teams worked out if you stuck two on Ings you pretty much took care of our attacking threat.ClaretTony wrote:Danny was excellent for us but he had his mind elsewhere in the second half of that last season and I don't think we'd have played him very much had we had any other options.
Not saying Ings didnt have thoughts on Liverpool but apart from the Sunderland away game id say Ings form or lack of it was more to do with teams targeting him and doubling up on him

There are a lot of people within the club who would totally disagree with youDevils_Advocate wrote:In the first half of the season Ings was practically taking on the other teams defences single handily. Teams worked out if you stuck two on Ings you pretty much took care of our attacking threat.

Re: Danny Ings' fast feet
Im sure there are but I saw the opposition mark Ings out the game constantly in the second half of the season with my own eyes so I'll go off that thanksClaretTony wrote:There are a lot of people within the club who would totally disagree with you
What was going on in his head I dont know but in my opinion that wasnt the main reason for his form taking a hit
The fact Ings left on bad terms with the manager and chairman kind of makes me think their views and those around the club might be a little biased

Don’t think he left on bad terms with the manager. Any problem between them is based on what’s happened since.Devils_Advocate wrote:Im sure there are but I saw the opposition mark Ings out the game constantly in the second half of the season with my own eyes so I'll go off that thanks
