6th place and 18 points is beyond most Burnley fan’s pre-season predictions.

So with 7 games to go...

Crystal Palace (H)
Man City (H)
Tottenham (A)
Newcastle (H)
Bournemouth (A)
Everton (A)
Man Utd (H)

...how many points do you predict we will have by the end of the year?

Might get a point against city, doubt we'll beat em. Spurs probably nothing.

Palace, Newcastle, Bournemouth and Everton could be wins.

Proably bottle against Utd and concede 3 in 88 mins+ MN

I'd hope for a minimum of 10 PTS out of that. Plus Villa on NYD should be there for the taking.

Probably best case 35. More likely between 25 and 30...

Anything from the 2 Manchester clubs and Tottenham would be a bonus, but our form against the lower half teams is good,so i can easily see 2 wins and 2 draws against Palace,Newcastle,Bournemouth and the Toffees.

That would give us 26 points by the bells, and within touching distance of securing another year at the top table.

Six or seven points out of those, so 24 or 25.

Which will be fine.

I’m going for 3 wins, 2 draws, 2 lost so 11 points. However, I think we can do better and break the 30 point mark. That would be some achievement!

How many did we have on New Year’s Day when we finished 7th? I’m sure it was almost 40 as remember thinking we were as good as safe.

7 Would be very acceptable, 12 would be fantastic, I'll predict something like 2 or 3 wins and a couple of draws and a loss or 2 in there, 10 or so points is achievable.

Can't remember our points tally, but seem to recall we barely picked up a point in January and February that season.

34. We had 22 at this stage of that season.

22 games and 34 points. We were "sh1t" after because we "only" got 20 points after New Year in the other 16 games... not a bad tally really if you think about it.

The way some talk we didnt win a match after new years day.....

They usually ignore the five games we won on the bounce.

If we are on 24 points come new year I’ll be reasonably happy with that. Anywhere in the high 20’s and I’ll be over the moon. We are already 6 points better off than at the half way stage (Boxing Day) last year.

10 more points to take us up to 28 would be acceptable. Means we'll need 9-10 points from remaining 18 games.

If we're in the top 10 by New Year, it will be a very good first half of the season.

My predictions from the start of the season....

Hope I am actually wrong as we should get more.

I think 28 would be realistic
