Re: What happened to Dawson
He got a cut above his right eye after a challenge with Ashley Barnes, and one above his left after a coming together with Chris Wood.
Subbed just before half-time.

It was also suggested that he'd been poorly leading up to the match.

Looked nasty at the time, hopefully he's ok. Some absolute idiots among the Burnley fans calling him soft etc and booing him whilst receiving treatment. Head injuries are no joke

The only trouble is, so many players pretend to have head injuries to stop the game.damo_whitehead wrote:Looked nasty at the time, hopefully he's ok. Some absolute idiots among the Burnley fans calling him soft etc and booing him whilst receiving treatment. Head injuries are no joke
It's frustrating for fans and pathetic behaviour from the players that do it. Not helpful to players that are genuine or crowd unrest.

Re: What happened to Dawson
Was pretty obvious immediately it was a bad one, especially after the first one not long before, some Burnley fans booed him as he walked from the pitch, which says enough in my opinionQuickenthetempo wrote:The only trouble is, so many players pretend to have head injuries to stop the game.

It showed a close up on the stream I watched, believe me, it was far from a bad cut, was barely any blood.damo_whitehead wrote:Was pretty obvious immediately it was a bad one
As said above, he'd reported feeling unwell before the game and nearly didn't start. I think that was the reason he failed to return for the 2nd half.

Re: What happened to Dawson
Watford have said he probably shouldn’t have played because he’s been unwell and that was the reason he went down the first time. The second one, when he had to go off, followed a clash with one of our players.
I didn’t hear any booing of him where I was yesterday thankfully.

He was substituted straight away. To me live it looked nasty. Just don't like to see players with head injuries getting mocked, that's allBarry_Chuckle wrote:It showed a close up on the stream I watched, believe me, it was far from a bad cut, was barely any blood.

Boos initially, when it looked like he was just trying to stop the game, so Worfor could reorganise.ClaretTony wrote:Watford have said he probably shouldn’t have played because he’s been unwell and that was the reason he went down the first time. Re: What happened to Dawson
Dawson going off on the stoke of half time changed the match- He had Barnes and Woods in his back pocket until then- 2nd half was different and we got a lot more joy..........levraiclaret wrote:Did someone sort him out?
Tad embarrassed by the 2 Burnley fans sat directly behind the goal who were giving him abuse as he was being treated on the floor- no need for that!

Re: What happened to Dawson
Thought the boos for Gray were more embarrassing when team was read out. Guy couple of seats away from me calling him all sorts.
