Can anyone recommend a good full size dishwasher to me. Or advise what I can do to improve its

I have a Bosch Classicxx at the moment and its not very good. I use cleaner and put salt in but I still have to wash by hand many of the itmes after its finished its cleaning cycle. Maybe I'm missing something. Anybody got any ideas?

I have a Bosch too and it is very good.

All i would say is get the biggest one you can, as it means less washes. Eco mode uses very little water.

We had a Zanussi which was good. I think Bosch is overrated we had a Bosch washing machine which was the worst we have ever had.

Get yourself a Phillipino dish (washer)

We are on our second Bosch dishwasher and they have both been excellent.

Stayingup...don't know where you live, but if you're in the North, whatever you do, don't add salt.
The waters very soft up here, so doesn't need it. Give it a try without salt.

Do you rinse items before loading ?

We had a Bosch previously and to keep it running properly we used the recommended cleaner from Bosch https://www.amazon.co.uk/Bosch-Dishwash ... ljaz10cnVl" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

We used one every 6 months or so, or if it started leaving residues again.

I took a Dishwasher apart one time.There are places and things inside that can never be washed out.
A dishwasher is a lazy-mans load.

We have a "Beko" dishwasher its about 7 years old now and it replaced the "Indesit" we had put in with the kitchen 10 years prior to that.

We don't add salt as the tablets we use are ones with added salt.

We always rinse the worst off the plates etc before putting them in the DW. Never have any problems really

Having Solar panels means all our washing is done during the day so as to utilise the sun to wash our dishes and clothes ... (Clothes obviously in a Hotpoint Washing Mashine and not in the Dishwasher of course )

I've been fighting this dishwasher thing at our house for years. Wife and, over the years, 3 daughters all moaning they want one. Apart from the fact that they have one (me) you still have to half wash the bloody things before you put them in the dish washer (I am told) so what is the point? Two daughters have left home now (not because of the dishwasher thing by the way, just natural wastage) but the pressure has increased now due to an imminent new kitchen sometime in the new year. 'Well seeing as how we are having a new kitchen we might as well.....', you know the score.

Dishwashers are a terrible and lazy way of spending money, I am still fighting but it is an increasingly bothersome fight that I fear I will lose eventually. Should I give up now or last out until a eventually die?

We have a Miele and never had an issue with it

Look at it this way. If you can get a good one (like I had previous to this Bosch) that actually cleans and dries properly you will save on Tea Towels.

Back in the 70's when my sisters 3 children were pre-teenagers, they used to bicker and fight about who did the washing up and who's turn it was to dry etc.
They had a new kitchen that included a dishwasher. My Nephew and Nieces then bickered about who filled it and who emptied it and who's turn it was to put away....

Dish washers are brilliant ...

Some once said, if you get 3 dishwashers ... you don't need to have storage for your crockery.

As you use the crockery from the clean dishwashed washer ... which eventually becomes the empty one.

You then place the dirty ones in the empty washer ...

So when the empty one has filled you now have an empty one ready to fill with dirty crockery.

Washer one ... Empty washer ... ready to fill
Washer two ... Washing ...
Washer three ... use the clean dishes etc.

Once washer three is empty, it becomes washer one (ready to fill) Washer two becomes Washer three as it is now full of Clean dishes ... Washer three is now empty so becomes Washer One.

Sounds complicated but its logical

Now that would be an excellent argument but for the fact that I leave them in the drainer overnight then put them away. No need for tea towels. Ha ha! You see I have covered every argument over the years. Am I sad?

3 dishwashers??? Three??? That puts me in mind of Marvin the Paranoid Android from Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, 'Two moons,two? How dreadful.'
So where would these 3 dishwashers go? Would you pile them on top of one another or have them side by side? And what about the cost? I'm not made of money you know. Anyway I have a plan. If we get one, which seems inevitable now alas, I will remove the fuse from the plug after a couple of days then say to my beloved 'there, you see, I told you it was a bad idea, damn things's broke down now.'

The irony is they have both got one. My wife is jealous.

They specialise in either ex demo stock or stuff that might have the tiniest of blemishes.

I got a Bosch tabletop dishwasher. Should have been £475, got it for £275. Brand new and with a 2 year warranty.

You just call them up and they'll tell you what the issue is, in most cases its nothing you would care about

The only problem with mine - the edge of the box was damaged. I got £200 off because of some crushed cardboard

I have the cheapest Bosch one. I put all sorts of crap in it, and it just works, without rinsing or anything. I don't put obvious lumps in it, like boiled potatoes, but not far short of that. No salt or rinse aid, just a Finish tablet. Cleans greasy tools and oily parts well. Anything, really. If, due to my abuse of it, it eventually conks out, I'll just buy another one.

Don't put trainers in it (internet suggestion) - they completely fall to bits. (Dishwasher is okay, however.)

Another vote for Bosch... had it for many years without issue.
