Villa v Toon
Draw best here, or a Villa win?
Heaton and Grealish back for Villa, so going for them tonight.

Re: Villa v Toon
I'd prefer Newcastle to win than Villa. Keep Villa down there just outside the bottom 3. I don't think Newcastle are going down regardless and Villa have more chance.ElectroClaret wrote:Draw best here, or a Villa win?

Re: Villa v Toon
It's nearly always best for it to be a draw when 2 teams below you play each other. Not only that but I feel 1-1 is the likeliest score here.
Villa possibly need points more than Toon with being only 1 point above bottom 3 but will also be loathe to lose. I think it'll be fairly cagey.

A Toon win drops us to 8th. So a draw for me.
BTW If we had only lost 1-0 at Blades, instead of 3, we’d be above them. Yet everyone is raving about them and giving us no respect.

Apologies above. I was looking at the Sky live table and they were showing them 16, with tonights point, now back to 15.

Toon missing Lascelles organising at the back. He should still be missing when we play them.

Re: Villa v Toon
Got to say Grealish has been excellent tonight. Most of the good stuff Villa have done has come through him.
Re: Villa v Toon
Newcastle have some frustrating players up top.
Saint-Maximine , Joelinton and Almiron contributed absolutely nothing.
Wesley up front for Villa is easy to dislike.

Re: Villa v Toon
Anyone noticed how Benitez moaned constantly about having no money for transfers until he then spunked a club record 21 million on Almiron. Ten months down the line he has yet to score a goal.NL Claret wrote:Newcastle have some frustrating players up top.
