I know this subject has been discussed previously but I can't find the thread. Can anybody recommend which of the new sizes SY MY LY XLY I get for my average sized 11 year old lad.

If you can't take him into the shop. Ring up and ask them, explain you might have to swap if the size isn't right.

Take care before purchasing. The quality of the Umbro kits is appalling. I got my lads a couple of kits and they are ruined. Won't be buying again until we get shut of Umbro.

Unfortunately I can't get him into the shop until after Christmas.

Got the following reply from the shop:

SY = AGE 7/8

MY = AGE 9/10

LY = AGE 11/12

XLY = AGE 13/14.

My lad is 9 and has MY size shirt. It only just fits him and he’s not that big for his age so I might take these sizings with a pinch of salt.
