Can’t have played many over last few years. Was Liverpool on a Wednesday last season?

Re: Last Time we Lost a Home Tuesday League Game
We had some shocking Tuesday night performances in Dyches first season.
I think Hull might have been the last of a run of them.

Re: Last Time we Lost a Home Tuesday League Game
The absence of midweek league games is definitely the most negative aspect of being in the premier league.

That, my friend, depends on how far you have to travel to the games.Cubanclaret wrote:The absence of midweek league games is definitely the most negative aspect of being in the premier league.
I would be happy with no midweek games. But I appreciate other opinions are available.

Re: Last Time we Lost a Home Tuesday League Game
I think we had something like 4 midweek home games in a month and lost them all!! And each performance was actually worse than the previous one and you would never have believed that was possible!!Bordeauxclaret wrote:We had some shocking Tuesday night performances in Dyches first season.

Was the City 6-0 under Stan not the Tuesday before or after Bob Taylor of Gillingham stuck 5 in?

As was Cotterill's last game, a shocking home defeat against Hull.

Re: Last Time we Lost a Home Tuesday League Game
We have an excellent record at home on Tuesdays but I do think we lost the unbeaten tag a while ago. We did once go a few years I think without losing a midweek home game. Can't remember how long it was exactly but I remember seeing it in the national press and being quite surprised.wilks_bfc wrote:Well according to “Statman” Dave Roberts, we have never lost at home on a Tuesday

Re: Last Time we Lost a Home Tuesday League Game
Didn't we once draw with Arsenal at home midweek Tony? I have always thought so but I could be wrong. Think it might have been the first time up with Coyle. 0-0 I seem to recall. Apologies in advance if I'm wrong.ClaretTony wrote:Our home Tuesday results in the Premier League - we've only played four.

Re: Last Time we Lost a Home Tuesday League Game
We did, in December 2009, but it was a Wednesday game not a Tuesday. Ended 1-1, Fabregas for Arsenal who thankfully went off injured when he was running the game. Grezza pen for us.houseboy wrote:Didn't we once draw with Arsenal at home midweek Tony? I have always thought so but I could be wrong. Fletcher with the winner.
I referred it to VAR this morning.

Re: Last Time we Lost a Home Tuesday League Game
That can't be right though because we aren't allowed to beat the Gooners in the PL. The referees association have decreed that we should never beat them, no matter how much we deserve it.TVC15 wrote:2-1 for Burnley Tony
