The club could be waiting until the day before the game.
Some don't like having to buy a ticket a week earlier than normal and fans can’t be expected to use a credit card. With the cherry pickers all wanting to go to spurs and Christmas just round the corner could well be a last minute announcement.

If they were “cherry picking” then surely they would want to go to Bournemouth
