NZ v England 2nd test
England won toss and Root's decided to bowl,he'd better hope England take wickets or the pressure will grow on his captaincy.
New Zealand: Jeet Raval, Tom Latham, Kane Williamson (capt), Ross Taylor, Henry Nicholls, BJ Watling (wk), Daryl Mitchell, Mitchell Santner, Tim Southee, Matt Henry, Neil Wagner.
England: Rory Burns, Dom Sibley, Joe Denly, Joe Root (capt), Ben Stokes, Zak Crawley, Ollie Pope (wk), Sam Curran, Chris Woakes, Jofra Archer, Stuart Broad.
Henry and Mitchell come in for Boult and De Grandhomme.
Crawley and Woakes come in for Buttler and Leach,Pope takes the gloves,so no front line spinner for England, although i guess Root could trundle a few overs if required.

Broad with the early wicket of Raval, terrible stroke mind you,17-1 in testing batting conditions.

Looks a good cricket wicket, if a little slow.
But a bit for everyone.

39-2 key wicket of Williamson, great bowling from Woakes,England on top but they need to hammer home this advantage.

Nah this 2 match series had a draw written all over itLocal cricketer wrote:Just backed New Zealand at 11-10 looks like printing money to me
England should pull it back to 1-1
Think Tom Abell from Somerset should have been selected instead of all the usual Surrey prospects

Thought you couldn’t afford to pre-order an Everton ticket?Local cricketer wrote:Just backed New Zealand at 11-10 looks like printing money to me

Decent start for England,Jofra dropping his pace and aiming for accuracy, probably wise on this pitch, and England pitching up good to see, that's when the swing will bring the edges into play.

Kiwi's day - again.
But wonder if England have had the Pope keeping in both footy and cricket before!
