BOTS on the website?

Post by LoveCurryPies » Fri Nov 29, 2019 12:05 pm

Anyone know what this is? I saw it while the website was playing up a few minutes ago.

I was trying to add this screenshot last week when the forum expired.

However, I do keep seeing: Google [BOT] and MSN [BOT] in the list of WHO IS ONLINE. But anyone know what these [BOT] are?

They're legitimate bots that scrape websites and forums for info and keywords so that when you search on Google or Bing (who uses Bing...???) you get results included

Mate, looks like rumps handywork to me. He tried a similar thing oan afc chat before he was banned. Then he launched a CYBER ATTACK. When this site was down for a few days first thing I thought was that rumps had returned with a vendetta. Stay vigilant lads

As Rick says. Googlebot (used for Google), allows Google to crawl a page and add it to their index. Other search engines have their own spiders.
